How do you get help from UD tickets?

I rebooted the router and did that with the eisy.  Nothing worked.  I went to the router's DHCP table and found the IP address to be 192.168.0.151.  I put the url (http://192.168.0.151:8443) into the IoX finder, and it could not find the eisy (I got an error message) like it told me to do in the wiki.

How do I factory reboot and clear the eisy?

Hold on a minute.

Your using http, with port 8443, it should be https.

Try: https://192.168.0.151:8443

That did it.  I can now access the eisy.  Now on to my other problems.  My Insteon scenes are all messed up.

I successfully logged into the administrative console, and installed the Elk plugin, but I don't know how to configure it or use it in my programs.

Also, my Insteon scenes are totally messed up.

You don't install any plugin from the admin console. Plugins are installed and managed from PG3x.

Is that what you did?

The Elk plugin has extensive documentation and examples. If you installed the plugin correctly, go to PG3x, click on Dashboard from the top menu, followed by Configuration.

Instructions for setting the plugin up are there on the Configuration tab.

You can also go to Plugins Store from the main menu, select Elk Plugin, followed by "More Info".

Here you will find details and examples.

If you haven't installed the plugin in this manner, or can't access PG3x, go to UD's wiki eisy manual and there are instructions there.

5 button press is a reboot 6 button press is supposed to shutdown and the button would turn red when it is shutdown and ready for a power cycle

I installed the plugin using PG3X and got the configuration screen.  I configured it to my Elk, and clicked "save changes"

.

I still can't see anything about the elk plugin in the admin console (I had the Elk module working fine in my ISY994) and I am a newbe to eisy and polisy.

Post a screenshot of your configuration settings from pg3x.

While you are making changes to the Plugin, the admin console needs to be closed. If it is opened while you make changes, you need to close it and reopen it to see the changes.

Under host, is that the IP address of your Elk M1XEP? The port is correctly added with :2101. just like you have.

If you have more then 1 area, try separating them with a comma, instead of a dash to see if it makes a difference. Like this:

1,2

Are you using 100 outputs? Typically, you only want to display what you are using. As a test, try adding just a few with comma's. Like this: 1,2,3

Afterward, hit Save Changes.

Next, go to Log tab and change the drop down to debug instead of what it is on now (possible Info?). Then while staying on the page, hit restart from the top menu.

Log should start populating and you can check for errors.

Also, very important, you can only make 1 connection to Elk M1EXP at a time. Therefore, you can not have anything else (like ElkRP2) connected at same time.

I believe there can be only one programming connection to the XEP (thru RP2), but multiple non-programming connections.  I often go into my M1 system through both the 994 and M1ToGo.

I tried 1-2 and 1,2 for my areas.  It didn't seem to make any difference.

I have posed this question to Elk Technical Support.

I have around 70 outputs.  Some of these are real outputs (I control a gate using an M1KAM) and some are used as program flags.  This is why I specified 100 outputs.  If I make Elk programming changes later, I don't want to go back and reconfigure the plugin.

In any case, I have disconnected the 994.  Makes no difference.

I configured the log for debug like you suggested.  There was no RESTART on the top menu, you I am attaching the entire log.

You can only be in one of these at a time. Elk doesn't support more than 1 connection.

Elk has nothing to do with UD or their plugins.

That's because you are in the wrong location. You need to be on the Elk Plugin page - Log - Debug - Restart.

Take a look at the attached mark up.

Elk.pdf

We will not be able to move forward without the Elk Plugin Debug log. If there is not an obvious error, you will need to tag the Elk plugin developer for his input. But first, we need to see what is in the log.

Did you confirm the IP address of Elk M1XEP is correct?

Also, go in to the M1XEP and on the TCP/IP tab, make sure there is a check mark next to "Enable Non-Secure Port" and the port is set to 2101.

I have attached the Elk Plugin Debug Log.  The restart you spoke of restarts the plugin, not the log.

Anyway, I didn't see any errors.  And yes, the IP address is correct and the non-secure port is enabled.

And yes, I can run  the 994 and M1ToGo simultaneously.  I do it all the time.  I didn't know you couldn't.

My question to Elk had nothing to do with the plugin, but I asked them how many simultaneously connections can the XEP support.  I'll probably get the answer tomorrow.
