MTellevik Posted Monday at 07:37 PM Posted Monday at 07:37 PM I am trying to add an Insteon 2334-232 6 Button Keypad to my EISY. Message comes up: The following device could not be added 58.80.94 - Cannot determine Insteon Engine I've tried autodiscover; Using Manual the 2334-232 is not listed so I tried using the 5 button 2334 and tghe 8 button. differnt outlets; tried resetting the switch Not sure what else to do? Techman Posted Monday at 07:55 PM Posted Monday at 07:55 PM (edited) "Cannot determine Insteon Engine" usually means that the PLM is unable to communicate with the device. Verify that the device address is correct, it's not uncommon to misread the 8 and the B If you're still having issues, then relocate the PLM to a different outlet. Note: the 6 button KPL is recognized as the 5 button KPL by the system, the on and off buttons are treated as one button.. Edited Monday at 07:58 PM by Techman Quote
Solution Guy Lavoie Posted Monday at 07:56 PM Solution Posted Monday at 07:56 PM Alternately, click on "Start Linking" (under Link Management at the top in Iox) and then press the link button on the keypad module. Quote
