Cannot load error

I opened a ticket but thought I’d seek out the collective wisdom here as well…

Been running trouble free for several years now ... but cannot add a new module to a scene, and when I try to work on the system I'm getting random errors like this

Tue 08/12/2025 12:23:30 PM : DB: Cannot load ./FILES/CONF/3F4715.REC
Tue 08/12/2025 12:23:30 PM : [RemoteBedR - H Accent] Finish : Removing from scene 'Accent Lights' was Incomplete

I identified that module as a RemoteLinc, removed it from my system, and then other errors were coming up...

Tue 08/12/2025 12:26:13 PM : DB: Cannot load ./FILES/CONF/3D7AC8.REC

^-- that module is a keypadlinc and it's working fine. Others are coming up with the same cannot load error

I tried doing a restore modem PLM and it runs through a bunch of MCG-LNK-RSP commands... then pops up an error message and this message is in the logs

Tue 08/12/2025 12:32:29 PM : DB: Cannot load ./FILES/CONF/3D7AC8.REC
Tue 08/12/2025 12:32:29 PM : [All ] Writing 0 bytes to devices

PLM is operational (44.30.CE v9E / Connected)

I've tried doing the full disconnect, wait 2 mins, reconnect (PLM first, wait 2 mins, then EISY). I've tried clearing Java cache too.

I've deleted the 2 remotelinks that were causing issues ... but now the errors are with 2 KPLs and like I said I don't want to start willy-nilly deleting more things if that's only going to keep corrupting things (and forcing me to have to reprogram a TON of scenes).

For the 3D7AC8 device, if I query it ...

So it's communicating, but still shows the cannot load error.

I'm kind of stuck - I don't want to mess anything up any more than it is ... need some guidance about how to fix this. Is this indicative of my PLM going bad? It's probably 7-8 years old ? It's a model 2413S rev 2.3.4216

Honestly, the best support you'll get is through the support ticket. At this point you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting and steps that could ultimately change other issues in the system. I think it's best to wait for support to reply to the ticket and troubleshoot with them in a methodical way. They have tips/tricks/solutions that most of us on the forums wouldn't know about and might point you in the wrong direction.

Especially with some of the potential errors you're having with files not being available it's not something I would want to suggest resolving and would leave it up to the master(s) through UD Support.

But please...do post back with how they go about getting things sorted out. It could just help us and others should this become an issue for others.

Good luck!

@Geddy truly words of wisdom :) right now things "work" sort of ... I can't modify any scenes or make changes, but husband won't threaten to kill me for now as long as things "mostly" work as expected. Fun.

@MJsan your last question about the PLM going bad...it very well could be. You have what appears to be one from October 2016. If you've been using it since then it's quite possible it could be failing. Again, let's wait and see what UD says.

It could be (or have been) a noise issue suddenly started. Doubtful, but with remotes and then keypads not working it very well could be. I'm just worried that the restore PLM might have corrupted something.
