brianh32877 Posted August 14 Posted August 14 I've got an iTach IP2IR that turns on digital poster frames in my theater. It ran with my old ISY994 without any problems for years. I finally switched over to Eisy, connected a Flirc to use the IR node server and got the commands from my Harmony remote working with Eisy. But now the iTach doesn't want to work. I've downloaded the newest release software from the iTach website, updated the firmware and deleted/reinstalled the PG3 iTach node server and rebooted everything. When I try to test the commands I've learned, I get the errors seen in the attached screenshots. Can anyone help me out? Thanks Quote
Javi Posted August 14 Posted August 14 Have you tried the iTach Node Server? See pinned topin in subforum below. https://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/324-itach-ir/ For Network Resource check port and termination "\r\n" at the end of the command Quote
apostolakisl Posted August 14 Posted August 14 (edited) Are you using the itach node server or network resources? You say you are using the node server but you are showing network resource screen shot. The flirc and the itach are fully separate so having or not having a flirc is not going to affect the itach. This is an example of one of my "body" sections for a network resource. sendir,1:1,1,38343,1,1,16,179,12,183,12,183,13,182,14,181,16,275,19,176,19,272,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,3834\r\n\n And this is what my itach node server setup looks like for one device. I had an itach prior to the node server existing so I have some things still on the network resources but have been trying to moving everything over to the node server because it is nicer to work with once configured. "whole house on","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,3858" "whole house off","sendir,1:1,1,38343,1,1,15,180,14,181,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,272,19,272,19,176,19,176,19,177,19,272,19,4907" "system off","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,274,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,3858" "Zone on/off","sendir,1:1,1,38226,1,1,10,185,10,184,14,181,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,3822" "Volume Up","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,3858" "Volume Down","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,3858" "Mute","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,3858" "Do Not Disturb","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,274,19,3858" "Source 6","sendir,1:1,1,38343,1,1,16,179,12,183,12,183,13,182,14,181,16,275,19,176,19,272,19,176,19,176,19,176,19,3834" "Source 5","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,3858" "Source 4","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,274,19,274,19,3858" "Source 3","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,3858" "Source 2","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,3858" "Source 1","sendir,1:1,1,38580,1,1,19,177,19,177,19,177,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,274,19,178,19,178,19,178,19,3858" Also: I noticed your are sending network resources on port 4997. Mine is setup on port 4998. ***Pretty sure your port number needs to be changed to 4998. All the docs that came up on a google said it works on port 4998. Edited August 14 by apostolakisl Quote
brianh32877 Posted Tuesday at 10:31 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 10:31 PM Sorry, I thought I had to have the node server running to make everything work for network resources. It's been so long since I originally set all this up with my old ISY994 that I don't remember anything. Because I'm only trying to make two codes work I'll stick with the network resources if I can. I changed the port number to 4998 and added the \r\n to the end and I'm now getting a message that says "Complete" when I run the test for both commands (See screen shot) but nothing happens. I've updated the programs in Eisy and rebooted everything. I've tried it with both learned commands and commands emailed to me by global cache. I've also tried it with the node server installed and deleted and I get the same thing each time. I have a button on my Harmony, a button on an insteon wall keypad, and the test function all yield the same thing...nothing. Quote
Javi Posted Wednesday at 12:12 PM Posted Wednesday at 12:12 PM "completeir,1:1,1" is a response from the iTach, where "1:1,1" corresponds to the command "sendir,1:1,1....". So the command is reaching the iTach. Quote
Solution apostolakisl Posted Wednesday at 06:37 PM Solution Posted Wednesday at 06:37 PM Did you try testing your codes using the itach software? It has been ages since I programmed my itach, but if memory serves me, after you learn the code with ilearn, you can test it. These codes can be finicky. And finally, are you confident your IR emitter is properly plugged in and working. Quote
brianh32877 Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM (edited) As a test, I ran an IR emitter from one of the other ports on the iTach and it worked! I've been using port 3 with a blaster since day one and it's always worked. Turns out, ports 2 and 3 are no longer working. After a lot of rewiring and a powered IR splitter it's all working. Thanks for your help! Edited yesterday at 12:09 AM by brianh32877 Quote
Javi Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Great, for reference the numbers 1:1,1 correspond to the module and port (blaster). Depending on your iTach version and number of ports and modules. Quote
