Posted August 20Aug 20 I have been trying to get this browser command (https://192.168.30.14/httpapi.asp?command=MCUKeyShortClick:1) to work within network resources with no luck. I would be greatly appreciative if someone could show how this can be set up in network resources. Thanks much.
August 20Aug 20 Can you start by posting an image of how you've tried? A link to the API documentation for httpapi.asp is needed as well
August 20Aug 20 Author Thanks you for the reply. This is the link to all available http commands. https://www.wiimhome.com/pdf/HTTP API for WiiM Products.pdf There may be an issue with the certificate where as the eisy can't replay to ignore the non secured message. I had to do that initially on the browser. Again thanks for any help.
August 20Aug 20 To partially eliminate (or prove) eisy as the culprit, did your initial link work in a browser tab? What happens when you try?
August 20Aug 20 Author In a browser I initially get the request to ignore the not secure message. After that the commands always work in the browser until a time lapse or defiantly the next day.
August 20Aug 20 I have to guess that's what the eisy is running into. Though that security/authentication needs to be figured out, a quick test would be an ISY program that sends the NR, a 2 second wait, and then send again... Just like the browser It might take going to the devices vendor or forum to ask what the initial problem is. I could imagine a couple things Edited August 20Aug 20 by paulbates
August 20Aug 20 Author Not sure if I am creating the correct setup for sending an https command. The message that is returned is Read Response Failed Net module Rule 28. I have no idea what that rule means.
August 20Aug 20 I worked my way into formatting NRs using the chrome browser with a plugin called postman. I could send different formats and it showed me the response, helped with put vs get and URL encoding, etc. This helped me with vestar thermostats and rainmachine sprinkler controller. It may not be around any more, but you can google for HTTP plugins for browsers or look in your browser's plugin store. You probably know this but he limitation to NRs is that they are one way from the eisy to the device. I initially did some python programming on an rpi to change ISY state variables. Or look for a plugin author to help As mentioned above I would contact the vendor or their forum if they have one about getting it to work with integration
Tuesday at 03:32 PM5 days Any update on this? I was just looking into Wiim HTTP commands myself. I was thinking of just a couple of Network Resources tho because I don't need a lot of control. I was hoping for volume up/down because my Wiim Pro is connected to my soundbar of my main TV. Doesn't look like we get up/down controls in the api, just set volume 1-100 or mute/unmute. Have you seen any documentation otherwise? I'll let you know what my tinkering with NRs plays out.
