What are the red exclamation points?

@srjacob FYI - removed the .zip file you added and just put the image and log file. Usually better not to use .zip files unless they're huge. Not many will download .zip files for risk of threats inside them. Images are fine to upload as an image and .log files are fine to upload.

Typically the exclamation points means IoX is not able to communicate with the device. Close admin console and make sure the plugin is setup correctly. Check in the plugin (web access) that the nodes are found and correct. Maybe restart the plugin. Then re-open admin console and see if the problem is corrected.

Remember if you have admin console open and you change something in the plugin you must always restart the admin console for most changes to be read. That's why it's often suggested not to have both open at the same time.

Lastly, please include what device and firmware (actual version number) you're using. It might also help to include the plugin version number. Be sure to give actual numbers and not just say "current firmware/plugin" as that's not helpful months down the road if somebody finds this post and thinks they have a similar issue, but firmware or plugin versions might have changed.

The red exclamations are because as shown on your screen "Node Server Errors" = 1. The debug.log doesn't show the error since it rolls over each night. Is there an error shown on the PG3x Page for this plugin?

Where exactly do I find "Node Server Errors"? If I do find it (if you tell me where it is), what do I change it too?

The Node Server errors should show up on the PG3X page for the plugin.

I don't see a screenshot of the PG3x ELK Plugin page, only a screenshot of the Admin Console.

If you restart the plugin do the errors get cleared?

When I restart the plugin, the errors (?) do NOT get cleared. I uploaded the config page error (the only one I know about), but the forum didn't accept it.

Please tell me EXACTLY where I can find the PG3X page that gives the errors. I have no idea what you are referring too.

I have been running the old ISY994 with the Elk module for years, without any problems.

More log files. There are NO error logs.

Looks like you found the page, that's the PG3X page showing the error, and I see you attached the log, I'll try to review this today.

I don't think this will fix it, but please try this:

• Open Admin Console with IoX Launcher and login

• Click "Configuration" Tab

• Click "Netowrking" Tab

• Click "Network Resources" Tab

• Click "Add" button at bottom

• Hit Enter to accept Name as Name.1

• Click the "- Select to Edit Content -" in the URL Column

• In the new window enter "somehost" for the Host

• Click "Save"

So you'll have this

Then restart the plugin for the PG3x UI, and if the errors still show go to the Log for the ELK Plugin and "Download Log Package" and PM that to me.

After the last "Save", also hit "Save" at the bottom of the window.

So that did fix it. It was a bug in a shared library PyISY that we use. Your welcome.

So now what do the arrows mean? Why do I even get the arrows?

What is the permanent fix?

I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THE ISY994 AND THE ELK MODULE.

Arrows are how the ISY indicates a contact device like an alarm sensor or door strike.

A input sensor points to the right and a contact output points left.

It is normal.

But I have input contact sensors with no arrow in front of them. Why are these different?

It's not a problem, it's just the icons chosen. Also, please stop YELLING.

You said it was a problem with the shared library PyISY, so when will it be fixed? Also, I would like to know why my relay inputs (from an M1XIN and the M1KAM) don't show up with an arrow pointing to the right.

I am not shouting, just frustrated. I expect software to be well-documented, and this isn't. Eisy and this plugin are giving me more problems than the ISY994 and the Elk module. So far, I have had to reboot the eisy twice to get the Elk to control my electronic gate (which is controlled by the Elk and a remote M1KAM). I never had to do that with the ISY994 and Elk module. It just worked.
