Posted Saturday at 03:22 AM5 days I have 1.2.6. and ring doorbell. As of now, the motion sensor node has no status or any other parameters showing. If I test the primary "Ring" node, the test result is "failure". Programs based upon the motion sensor are no longer triggering.
Yesterday at 04:27 PM1 day @oberkc you replied to an old topic so I split out to new thread in case this is a new issues. However, you made me look into what version I was running and still 1.2.6. It did say I needed to re-authenticate the system. I did that and things seem to be working okay for me. I see motion nodes and if I "test" the ring node it is a success.I had to restart the plugin to get my associated programs to work properly.
Yesterday at 04:51 PM1 day Author Solution @Geddy Thank you for the response. I reauthenticated and restarted as well. I also saw on the instructions the the PG3 remote settings (in portal account!!?? I guess this node server does not work without portal account.) must be "enabled and active". Mine was enabled, but not active. Somehow, (am unsure what action, if any, I took that caused this) I was eventually able to get it to show "active". My test result now shows "success", but the motion node still remains blank: I am not sure whether this suggests that IoX is not seeing the various states of the motion sensor node.If I cannot figure out what is happening, I may start a new thread, as you suggest.

My floodlight cam does have a status and battery life (even though it's a hardwired device). For the doorbell the status and battery life (again, I have a hardwired device) are in the main device node. You should be all good. I don't use motion for programs, but be sure you test your programs to be sure they work. 8 minutes ago, oberkc said:must be "enabled and active". Mine was enabled, but not active. I'm not sure what causes that, but don't think it's anything user related. At least didn't seem to be last time it happened. Glad you checked that too. I didn't get that far into looking at it since mine worked following the authentication and restart process. 5 minutes ago, oberkc said:I may start a new thread, as you suggest.Sorry...should have said I split it out into a new thread. All good there.

I only use my door bell as a motion sensor and it doesn't get tripped often but I wanted front lights to come on if I pull in the driveway after they have been turned off.I had the version prior to 1.2.6 and upgraded, re-authenticated and it's been fine.@oberkc Kind of a guess, but pull the battery out of the ring device. Restart the plugin and then plug the battery back in, then re-test. (Eg, maybe the device itself got messed up) Edited yesterday at 05:14 PM1 day by paulbates

No battery.Thank you both for the responses. Perhaps mine is working fine without the expected parameters being displayed. I know the other night it did not trigger and my wife was not happy. In the past, this has been quite reliable.
Yesterday at 07:25 PM1 day Mine is also blank. If you start a new program and go to condition for "if" and then control for selection. You will see the door bell motion under ring. Can then use as a condition for your program

I don't run motion programs so not sure what would trigger it. Maybe @bmercier can chime in to see if there should be something inside the doorbell motion node.Looking at the information on the plugin (in the "More Info") there are no drivers under the doorbellMotion. I'm no programmer, but I would think there would only be items in the node if there were defined drivers. There's no drivers in my camera "Lights" node (and that node is empty on admin console), but there are drivers in that motion node. It matches what I see in the .py file(s).
