Monday at 02:52 PM4 days Hi,I'm a long time isy99ir, isy994ir, and now eisy user. I've upgraded to v6.0.0 without any issues. I was updating and replacing some failed insteon switches and for some reason, I can no longer restore from a backup. Logs say that the backup(s) were successful, but this is output of error log:fileLength=481522 byteOffset=481045 tailLines=250000 resultLines=6 resultByteSize=412Mon 2025/11/03 09:32:49 AM 0 -170001 <s:Envelope><s:Body><u:GetSystemStatus xmlns:u="urn:udi-com:service:X_IoX_Service:1"></u:GetSystemStatus></s:Body></s:Envelope>Mon 2025/11/03 09:32:50 AM 0 -170001 [HTTP:8-57] Closing socket normallyMon 2025/11/03 09:33:05 AM 0 -170001 [HTTP:7-57] ZHMon 2025/11/03 09:33:05 AM 0 -170001 [HTTP:7-57]: GET-->/rest/log/xray?path=ERROR.LOG&tail=250000&max=25000The message on the UI is I've tries numerous current backups. I don't want to restore from a previous backup since i've made changes. At one point in this process, after I had added a switch (16.35.18) without a problem, each time I logged back into the UI, a message would come up saying added device with 16.35.18 listed. It would even then add the device "again" to the UI. When I deleted 16.35.18 and logged back in, it would add it again. A reboot seemed to help that.At this pint everything is working correctly, but I want to make sure the backups are working. I have about 100 devices on the system.Any help here would be appreciated.BTW, is there a way to stay logged on longer to the UI. I'd prefer not to have to login repeatedly while making physical changes to the network (replacing switches).Thank you.
Monday at 03:37 PM4 days i had the issue the other day with adding a switch and it kept trying too add againReboot fixed the issue

Logs say that the backup(s) were successfulFor the issue of not being able to restore from a backup I would suggest you open a support ticket with UD to get help on the situation. There might be something that went wrong in an update that is not allowing the restore to properly complete. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets 2 hours ago, ski2020 said:BTW, is there a way to stay logged on longer to the UI. I'd prefer not to have to login repeatedly while making physical changes to the network (replacing switches). What computer OS are you using? And what UI are you talking about? If on Windows and Admin Console you should be able to remain logged in quite a while. As far as I know there are no timeouts that UD implemented. Many say they leave their admin console up for hours/days without issue. Of course the admin console is not designed to be up 24/7, but some attempt this (I have no idea why). How quickly is your session timing out? It could be system or network related. Be sure you are not running any VPN or Anti-virus services. Also make sure you're on a stable network connection. When you have a support ticket about restoring the backup as them if there's a way to see why you are timing out of admin console if that's the UI you're speaking of.
Monday at 06:02 PM4 days Author Thanks. Will create a ticket. BTW, I'm on a mac and the admin console requires login but maybe it's the power management issue. Network is very stable.

I don't usually have it open more than a few minutes though (typically just enough to help others here if I need to test something out). I know Apple likes to block Java and control background running "apps" more so they can have better battery life. Good luck tracking that down.
Monday at 07:52 PM4 days Author Michel responded quickly and suggested running Upgrade Packages again. That did the trick, I can now restore from backup. Thank you.
