Possible to call an EISY program externally?

Featured Replies

I had an ISY994 and was able to trigger programs with this URL:

http://<UserID>:<Password>@192.168.x.x/rest/programs/<ProgramID>/runThen

The program ID is what is listed in the program summary tab in the Admin Console ("0001" or "000A", etc.)

First time trying to test this with the EISY and it fails.

My use case: I trap my UPS events in Windows (Power Restore, Dirty Power, etc.), hit a URL in the ISY that would shut off some sensitive equipment before the surges killed them - gotta love Central Texas power grid...

Possible?

Edit: Figured it out - but can't delete my post! :(

Answered my own question.

@JimTurner ,

Your Rest command syntax is correct for the ISY994. I don't believe there has been a syntax change in the Eisy (I do not have one).

Is it possible that the program ID or IP has changed?

As a follow on thought, does the Eisy allow http access (not https)?

I had to add the 8080 port number (configured in the AC) to get this to work.
