Insteon device window always comes up as New

Featured Replies

Every time I launch the admin console. I get a popup window "New Insteon Devices" which always shows the same device each time. But it's not new, I've dismissed the window each time I run the app.

Other than deleting the device and then trying to re-add it - but I have no idea why this keeps happening.

Always appears when admin console starts:

But this device is not new - it's always listed and always works properly

Yes, I get similar windows from time to time. I am not sure why these windows have recently started happening, but I assume it is related to some software update. I also see old devices, scenes, and programs that reappear though I thought I had deleted them. While a nuisance, they go away eventually. Often, a reboot of EISY clears up many of these notices.

@raymondjiii This is similar to an issue that was in another post over a month ago. Make sure you've updated recently. Since UD isn't posting release announcements I'm not sure if they've updated again, but the last time I updated it installed 6.0.4_1

You can find what you're running on a web browser: https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt (click advanced and continue if you get a security/connection warning).

Also, you can apparently see on eisy_ui if there are updates available (I'm not sure as I haven't used that ui much).

However, the fix in the past post was simply a power cycle of the eisy.

Yes, the EISY UI shows current software versions and, apparently, any updates that are available. Interestingly, it shows me on 6.03_3 with no mention of 6.04_x.
