We've been considering purchasing a 705 model and just happened to notice this plugin. Couple of quick questions:

1) Do we know if plug in supports the 705 models?

2) What does the plugin provide compared to their app in general? I was thinking maybe I could setup the standard stuff in app like mapping and do something like only run based on if alarm system is armed away. Does that make any sense?

Thanks again for all the wonderful work all the way back to when I moved from HomeSeer to ISY so many years ago now!

I dont think it will work. I have a J8+ which is a generation or two older and it does NOT work with the plugin . The plug in has never been updated from the time it was introduced about 3-5 years ago with the then current model. I too just purchased a 705 for a second home and wish it would work.

But the app does fine, but its not integrated so if I am not home and my security system is armed in AWAY mode, then the Roomba sets off the alarm due to inside motion sensors, so the EISY changes the status to STAY during cleaning. BUT w/o integration, its a "clock" based process, not an actual and I need to manually keep roombas run time in sync with my Eisy program time triggers.

Thanks, @dbwarner5 for the great insight. I’m going to order one from Amazon today. I hate it when I get things so backwards as in don’t run when armed away because of motion sensors. Clearly I was thinking run it while I’m away so I don’t have to listen to it. 😂

I’ll look at DSC Plugin to see whether I need to disarm and arm to bypass motions or I can Charlie it’s armed.

What do you use for cleaning solution? We’ve been using Bona wood for many years and information I found indicated Roomba solution and Bona are equivalent if not identical.

EDIT: with second purchase I’d assume you are pleased with their products. Any advice on optimal results?

A thought… we had cats when we built the house so motions are pet immune and I had them set so they didn’t scan floors level so they may be fine anyway. I’ll set it up and watch for motion triggers while it maps the floor plan.
