Tuesday at 08:13 PM1 day It is time to replace my old 2413S. I have a new, unused 2413U. For use with EISY, are there any pros or cons as between the two?
Tuesday at 09:56 PM1 day The advantage of the 2413U is that it plugs directly into eisy's usb port. The 2413S requires a serial to USB adapter cable.
Tuesday at 10:04 PM1 day My PLM is several feet away from eISY to get it away from RF storm of equipment so I’ve stuck with serial to extend it via twisted pair cat5e cable. Likely just as effective with usb but just haven’t done it.

Tuesday at 11:02 PM1 day Possibly age may make a difference. If the 2423S is an earlier revision than the 2413U. Though recent revisions seem to have the problems resolved.
