If anyone is interested in connecting to their E27 Alarm Engine, I’ve produced an interface library that handles the linking and encryption protocols so you can access the alarm panel API pretty simply. It handles all the low level interfacing so building a PolyGlot interface would be fairly simple.

I wrote it to support my home assistant integration but it is stand alone so it can be reused to support other systems talking to the E27.

Thanks for this! Do you know if a totally DIY installation is possible? The Elk documentation refers to account registration and approval. Can I buy one these panels, and as a non-dealer create an alarm/automation system for my home?

I think you can purchase it yourself. I’m not sure if you can get the cloud account without going through a monitoring company. It can be accessed locally via the app without a cloud account.
