Wednesday at 02:36 AM4 days Still trying to get zigbee going on my eisy. Am wanting to add hue lights. Trying to decide if they will work fine on their own or if I'd be better with one of the plug ins or with the hue pro hub? Am looking also at wanting to add the inovelli mmwave switches in a few places linked directly to the bulbs for immediate response. Anybody used the new Blue line inovelli switches? With hue? Suggestions, tips?
Wednesday at 10:35 AM3 days Author First issue I have is I keep checking the Zigbee support box but when I reboot, it's unchecked? I did buy the ZMatter usb box when it came out. I believe I'm on all the latest firmware, I have updated all packages. What am I missing? How do I turn on zigbee?
Wednesday at 10:36 AM3 days I once tried using a Hue bulb with the Polisy via zigbee. It did, in fact, connect and I was able to control it. I found, however, that the level of control and features did not match that of using a hue bulb with the hub. I have also used the hue bulbs/hub with network resources. This is quite reliable but does not provide the ability to use hue devices as a node in scenes. Given this, I prefer using the hue hub and hue node server. I have no experience with the inovelli switches.
Wednesday at 01:36 PM3 days Author So I saw two plug ins in the store. Is this what you're talking about? Which one are you using? These allow the eisy to talk to the hue hub?
Wednesday at 02:22 PM3 days The one you want it simply called "Hue". Hue emulator is a different thing. It's a great plugin, very well made. It communicates over IP with your Hue hub (can be a ordinary V2 hub, or the new Pro one), so Zigbee isn't used.
Wednesday at 03:51 PM3 days Author Ok, plan is to have inovelli presence sensing switch bound to the bulbs in smart bulb mode so you can use switch on the wall to turn it off or on AND have the presence sensor to turn it off off unoccupied. But currently under program I sequentially step brightness down at night and up in the morning and want to continue that ALONG with warming the color at night and cooling it in the morning. Is that something handled easily with the hue app? Obviously I'm going to have to use zigbee for the switches.
Wednesday at 04:13 PM3 days Well, I am quite confident that you can use a program to increase or decrease brightness or color or tone, I am unsure how the innovelli switches relate to the hue bulbs or weather you can adjust the response to the inovelli switches.

What I'm wondering is when the presence sensor in the switch sees nobody present, and it tell isy to turn the bulbs off.....
Wednesday at 07:14 PM3 days Author Google just told me yes, I can bind the bulbs and the inovelli switch. HOWEVER, they must be on same hub.....

Thursday at 01:58 AM3 days Author As it was right under a tic box I had dismissed it. Now it sticks but in the admin console it says zmatter zigbee not responding. In mobile if I start a zigbee add it says can't start inclusion.
Thursday at 02:08 AM3 days Try powering off your eisy and rebooting. I've had to do that after configuring the dongle.
Thursday at 02:58 PM2 days Author Yeah, have done that numerous times. Doing a.lot of reading. Hadn't done much since the the dongle came out and I installed it. Everything I read leads down another rabbit hole with all kinds of new stuff.

Friday at 02:48 AM2 days Author This is what it's.sounding like. So, are you using a.switxh to turn on the hue bulbs? New or old hue hub? What kind of delay do you have? Anybody using a "smart bulb" switch? I currently have a multisensor 6 turning on a fixture via an insteon switch. While it is quick, it's still a noticeable delay by the time the sensor "SEES" a person, transmits to eisy and eisy turns on switch. On the other end of the scale I have an insteon sensor two linked to another insteon switch and it is instant.
