May 17May 17 Every time I open UDM 1.6.3 on my Android phone (Galaxy S24), I see a few devices or scenes displayed in the wrong status. Today I had one wall switch and two scenes that appeared to be "on", even though they are not.Yesterday it told me two switches in my living room were on, even though I was sitting there at the time and could confirm they were off. I did a "sync" in the app, and still they appeared in the "on" state. Just to be sure, I turned them off and back on in the app, and the switches behaved as expected.Pretty much every time that I use the app I run into this. Is there a reason it is not very reliable? Fortunately I don't use it very often.Thanks.
May 17May 17 Try rebooting your controller. 16.3 works flawlessly on Android. Also try clearing the cache on UDM Edited May 17May 17 by Techman
May 18May 18 Check the admin console, it is likely out of sync also. If this is insteon it is likely line noise or plm going bad.
October 21Oct 21 Author A follow-up on this issue...Today I opened UDM and it says three of my scenes are turned on, even though none of them are. These seem to be the same scenes I was having trouble with earlier. One of them is called "Galley" and has three wall switches in my kitchen in it. One of those is a dimmer switch called Swag Light. The physical switch is working OK for the lamp. But when I turn the switch on or off, the status is not updating in Admin Console or UDM.If I ask Alexa to turn Swag Light on or off, it works as expected and NOW both AC and ADM show the correct status. If I ask Alexa to turn on/off Galley, the Swag Lamp turns on/off. But the other two devices (Kitchen East and Kitchen West) don't change at all. The switches don't physically turn on/off nor does their status in AC. I have another scene called Kitchen Lights with Kitchen East and Kitchen West in it, and it works as expected when I tell Alexa to turn that scene on or off. The two switched from above are turned on/off, and AC is updated properly. These devices and scenes have been around for years. I don't know why they have become problematic in recent months. What is the normal procedure to correct this kind of situation? Is the Swag Light switch failing (since it is not signalling its status to AC)? Should I just remove it from AC, factory reset the switch, and then add it back in? Should I remove all of the switches and re-add them just to clean up everything?I don't suspect my PLM (even though it is over a decade old) because Alexa commands work OK. Only a couple of wall switches seem to be acting up. Maybe I'm mistaken on that.Once I figure this out then I can maybe fix the other two scenes in my living room that is acting similarly.Thanks.
