Yesterday at 05:21 PM1 day Can someone explain better how to connect to the Eisy to the Somfy URTSii serial interface so the that I can use this Plug in? Currently I am using an Somfy Dry Contact interface with a Insteon I/O that I control with EISY, along with an elk Open Close RF transmitter to determine if it's closed or not. Only control is on or off so would like better control.
Yesterday at 05:44 PM1 day I have a URTSI-II. I connect to it using a Lantronix EPS1 print server. I set up the EPS1 for a raw TCP connection to it's serial port. In fact I'm also using a EPS1 to connect to my Elk M1 with the Elk plugin. Years ago I picked up a dozen of these on ebay for $5 apiece. Lots of them on ebay even now.The plugin allows you to specify a IP address and port for TCP connections. For a EPS1, the serial port is port 3001.You could also use any other device server that offers a raw TCP connection. Most do. Edited yesterday at 05:50 PM1 day by Guy Lavoie
22 hours ago22 hr To the OP's question, I've wondered that myself. It's unclear to me how this connects. I would like to know in case what I'm using now ever breaks, which is a long-discontinued Autelis Shade Control for Somfy RTS.As far as I can tell, all the Autelis really does is pass network tcp commands to the Somfy URTSI II from eisy network resources. It does have a menu page when you open its local IP address. I don't use it.You can do the same thing with a Somfy myLink RTS Smartphone and Tablet Interface. I found it to have worse range than the URTSI.
22 hours ago22 hr The "best" current method is to use a TaHoma device (Switch or Beecon) which works with the Somfy app and now allows local connections from third party apps...like IoX plugins! The Tahoma plugin is so recent that the paint is still wet!
