Smart Water Timer - how to just turn on or off

I just got the Meross Smart Water Timer MST100. All I want to do is be able to remotely turn my water on or off. In the Meross App I can set a schedule, which I really don't want, or turn it on or off. However, it seems like you have to set a timer so that if I turn it on, it begins a timer which, for now, I have it set to 23 hours and 59 minutes (the maximum). I also linked it to the Alexa App where I can turn it on or off, but, again, if you turn it on it begins the default timer.

I want to just turn it on and have it stay on unless I choose to turn it off for whatever reason (bad weather, excessive watering, vacation hold, etc). And, if I turn it off, I don't want it to be timed. I just want it off until I turn it back on. Is there a way to make it work as simple On/Off switch rather than mess with timers? Thanks in advance for any help.
