16 hours ago16 hr I started converting from a 994 to eisy several years ago. Had life get in the way and had to put it on hold. This past week my 994 finaly died so I need to finish getting my eisy up and running. Before I had to put the conversion on hold I was able to transfer all the scripts from the 994 to the eisy. If I try to connect using "http://eisy.locla" I get can't find it. When I try to get in through the UD app on my phone I get "waiting for device to connect". When asked if I want to view my account I say yes. the app states no active license. Do I have to have a license just to connect? If so, how do I get a license? Thanks.
15 hours ago15 hr Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from herehttps://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlpYou should see the eisy in IOX Finder Your user name and password might be changed to admin / adminIf you have an active portal account then you can access the eisy remotely using UDMobile.
15 hours ago15 hr Do you know it's IP address? If not, look for it in your router's device table. Then try launching IoX finder, click on the "Add" button, and add a line like this: eg: IP address of 192.168.0.123https://192.168.0.123:8443/descSee if that works.
15 hours ago15 hr Author Follow on. I connected directly to the eisy and entered the command "arp -a". looks like it is not being assigned an IP address. The app I have to use to get to a list of IP addresses is not connecting to the router. Opened a command window on my PC and entered "arp -a | findstr 00-21" 0021 are the first 4 of the mac address. the eisy does not show up. I can see the old 994. All this makes me thing the problem is with the router. going to try and reset the router " It is in a really hard place to get. great for wifi coverage but hard to get to.
11 hours ago11 hr @FarmerGeek Put the router on an Insteon on/off module (or Kasa or Yolink) so you can reset it remotely.I have a program that turns my router and cable modem off for 1 minute each day at 5:15. I know I shouldn't have to do it, but I've had few router problems since I've been doing it.Ross
