I have a Zooz ZSE11 800LR that uses battery-only power, and was included with battery-only power applied. I have parameter 172 Reporting Frequency set to 4 hours, and parameters 183-185 (temp, humidity, and lux reporting thresholds set to to 0). Per the zooz documentation (https://www.support.getzooz.com/kb/article/1003-zse11-q-sensor-advanced-settings/?section_id=251), this should result in battery level being reported every 4 hours, but the Battery Level field remains blank forever. Anyone else have this issue?

Update: In the AC, all the ZSE11 devices had the 1011 icon shown. I did a right click/Write Changes followed by a press of the zse11 zwave button. The Battery Level field then showed 100%. The 1011 icon remains after the Write Changes has (apparently) completed. I'll have to wait and see if the Battery Level field updates going forward.

The 1011 icon is supposed to indicate that there are pending changes for the device. The fact that the icon persists may indicate an issue?

The ZSE11 batteries may need replacing or you may have a marginal connection between the device and your controller

I don't have the ZSE11, but I do have a number of Zooz ZSE42 Leak Detectors which are also battery operated. My experience with those devices is that there is sporadic reporting of battery status, including sometimes never reporting battery level.

I know the battery is OK only because I have a message sent every time the device "wakes up". And when the devices wakes up, I also programmatically have the device queried in the hope of getting the battery data. Rarely happens.

The devices work, but Zooz support, while very responsive has typically told me, the ISY/eISY are not an "officially supported" system, so it is "most likely a problem with the eisy". In other words, while responsive, they have rarely been helpful with battery operated devices in particular.

It would be helpful if UD would work with Zooz or vice versa to improve many aspects of ZWave support of Zooz products.

I updated from firmware 2.0 to firmware 2.30 . It was necessary to do an exclude, then an include with a power supply connected in order for the firmware update to work. After then excluding, then including with batteries only, the 1011 icons are now gone. The Battery Level is being reported as 100%. The batteries are fairly new, so it remains to be seen how the reporting works as the batteries age.

After some 36 hours have passed, the Battery Level field is now blank. Per the documentation, it should be updating at least every 4 hours: I have the threshold parameters (183,184,185) set to zero, and the reporting frequency (172) set to 4 hours. The documentation states that parameter 172 is not applicable to the 800 series version of the zse11, but it is present and set to 4 in my zse11 800LR .

It's posible that when you switched to batteries it cleared the status in the battery window.

Give it a couple of days to see it it populates the battery level.

The battery level was reported after including the zse11 with batteries only. It subsequently became blank and has remained so.

It's possible that the Zse11 is defective, Zooz tech support is very responsive. Send them an email

No. It showed 100% immediately after it was included, then subsequently became blank and has remained blank.

Same issue with this leak sensor. You're all not alone.

I have several Zooz battery operated devices, ZSE44 and ZSE70, and thay all report battery status. You might want to open a support ticket with UD

I did open a ticket, 2 years ago and this never got resolved. It seemed to start with firmware v1.50 for the ZSE42 leak detectors. Ticket info supplied to UD 2 years ago. The ticket is still open. ☹️

Hi Chris,

The ZSE42 is generally working after the upgrade process, but something has changed with regard to Battery Level reporting, as this is no longer available in the eISY, both visually and programmatically for this updated device.  I went back and reviewed the 1.50 release notes from Zooz and see this:

Firmware: 1.50

Data packets changed to 5-byte to help address inclusion, range or secure inclusion issues
Fixed Bug: Issues with battery status display when added using S2 authenticated security on select platforms

I had seen that "Fixed Bug" before I updated, but since battery level was reporting OK with v 1.40 in eISY, I assumed it only affected other platforms.

In the AC, I should see this, with Battery Level Value, as I do for another v 1.40 sensor:

Instead I now see this with my v 1.50. No Reported Battery Level Displayed:

So I don't know what to do to get this resolved. Not fully understanding, I would have thought the "Update with Interview" would have established any new or changed parameters for eISY to receive. Or, maybe more simply, Zooz still has a bug.

Any info I can provide to help I will get. If you find something I can relay to Zooz, I will certainly do so.
