19 hours ago19 hr I have a three-way Insteon dimmer switch operating a set of floodlights on the house. It’s basically worked fine for many years, but I’ve replaced the floodlight with an LED version and they flicker. They’re very old switches so I picked up two new on/off switches since I don’t need any dimming and I don’t mind seeing if they solve my flicker issue. I have a whole house full of Insteon stuff and using Eisy for everything. My plan was to do the “replace switch “ in the admin console which I’ve done many times successfully over the years but I just realized that since these new ones are on/off switches that it may not be possible to do it that way? Before I go removing the old ones from the wall, I thought I would ask for some advice on swapping old dimmers with new ON/OFF.
19 hours ago19 hr Sorry unless there is a trick I’m not aware of, eISY will only replace like with like. If they are in scenes remove the old and note adding new into the same scenes. I always do a top level Copy Folder to Clipboard and paste into a text editor for programs os I can search for programs that are impacted. Also I’ve got some REST command that I look through to confirm the old have not been referenced and make plans to update if it is.
