Duplicate Notification Nodes

Featured Replies

I keep getting duplicate notification nodes. I thought it was because I started off with free, then upgraded, but I deleted everything and installed the standard notification in slot 2. It still duplicates the node. Is this normal? Notifications are not working.

I entered my UD Mobile API and the agree statement.

Any ideas?

Appears you have the plugin installed in slot 3 in pgx3, and the one in slot 2 showing unmanaged some place else. That's why it is shown as unmanaged.

Are you running eisy-ui? Is it possible you also added the plugin within eisy-ui's new plugin feature?

Dennis, I installed the Notification plugin in eisy-ui, but whenever I go through the notification setup on UD Mobile, it always creates a PG3 instance of the plug-in.

I assume if you want UD Mobile notifications, you cannot use the eisy-ui plug-in, but only the PG3 version.

I deleted all the nodes, then went back to UD Mobile and went through the notification setup. It created a PG3 instance of the notification plug in and appears to be working. It just doesn't show as a plugin in under eisy plugins:

If you want to use UD Mobile for notifications, follow this guide: https://wiki.universal-devices.com/UD_Mobile#Notifications_Tab

If you want to use eisy-ui for a plugin that is currently in pg3x, you don't just install in eisy-ui, you have to migrate the plugin from within eisy-ui. You can find this in the tab for plugins.

I don't think you will receive duplicate notifications now.

Thanks for working with me Dennis,

My hang up is that for the notification Plugin, there is no migrate in eisy-ui. I can only install the notification plug in in a new slot.

In eisy-ui, there is no mention of the pg3 plugin.

My only option is to install it into a new slot, not migrate/reinstall in the same slot:

In PG3, there is also no mention of migrate:

UPDATE: for anyone who might have this issue. In eisy-ui, I had disabled PG3 (under settigns), I was accessing it via the admin console. If PG3 is not enabled in eisy-ui the "Migrate from PG3" option will not be available.

So my process was (after deleting all notification nodes) to allow UD Mobile to install the Notification plug in in PG3, then migrated from PG3 to eisy-ui (to do this PG3 must be enabled in eisy-ui). Then disable PG3 in eisy-ui.

I now have on instance of notifications running on eisy-ui and its working as expected.

@DennisC thanks for your help.
