xlurkr Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Has anyone else noticed that SimpleHomeNet has the ZBPLM, a 2412S compatible interface with a Zigbee radio and command set? Any chance for ISY support of the Zigbee part in the future? -Tom
Michel Kohanim Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Hi Tom, Orchestrator series (only available through the utilities) already supports Zigbee SEP 1.0/1.1. Zigbee SEP 2.0 is supposed to be a little more compatible with HA profile but neither of 1.0/1.1 are HA profile compatible. I have not seen very many interoperable Zigbee HA profile devices out there so, the answer to your question is: it depends on ROI. With kind regards, Michel
Goose66 Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I vote no. When a device/software like the ISY starts pursuing other protocols/networks, and tries to become everything to everybody, that is when the product eventually fades into mediocrity (Homeseer, mControl). I love the ISY-99i precisely because it does Insteon so well.
