MarkJames Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hi, I'd like to suggest that when you're in the main console and you click on a member of a KPL that the title of the screen include the button number on that KPL. eg 36.24.36 - 3 for button 3. Instead of the 36.24.36 by itself that it displays now. The button #s don't always stay in sequence in a KPL and if they're not labelled on the buttons as they are in the ISY then the only way to determine which button is which is to go to the button, right click it and hit rename - it will then display the address with the button number as a suffix. mark
Michel Kohanim Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hi Mark, Good idea! As a workaround, when you click on rename, the dialog shows you the address with the button number. The main issue is that in 5 button KPLs, button A has group 3 so it might get a little confusing. With kind regards, Michel
MarkJames Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 Yes - the whole group 1,3,4,5,6 vs 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 thing can be pretty confoozalating. I suppose the slickest way to do it would be with a graphic representation of which button on the KPL it refers to - drawing a KPL in 6 or 8 button mode with the appropriate button highlighted or color coded or in some other way indicated. Personally, I'd just be happy with the group number suffix you get from the rename screen. Thanks, Michel, mark (hoping that the Elk module isn't far away) james
Michel Kohanim Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hi Mark, Ok, thanks so very much! We are working on ELK. With kind regards, Michel
