Traditore Posted October 29, 2010 Posted October 29, 2010 Just a warning for those who are considering updating to this new version. The app crashes when I try using the Bypass Manager with zones already bypassed or if I try to bypass a zone from the Bypass Manager. I already submitted the bug to Jayson.
jaysonc Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 This is a confirmed bug that affects the bypassing of violated zones on an Elk M1 alarm panel. A bug fix was submitted to Apple on Friday morning and is already flagged as in review by Apple. I anticipate the update to be available Monday or Tuesday. I will update this topic when the update becomes available.
jaysonc Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 The crash discovered in version 2.2.0 release has been fixed in a version 2.2.2 update available on iTunes today. If you have downloaded v2.2.0 please update to v2.2.2 if you plan on upgrading to either the Elk or Ness module.
jamiefiedler Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 ekeypad pro is crashing at launch on my ipad 3g (4.2 GM) after updating to 2.2.2 - works fine on my iphone 4 (4.2 GM) though. tried deleting/redownloading but no luck. previously, 2.2.0 worked fine on both iphone & ipad with 4.2 GM.
jaysonc Posted November 4, 2010 Author Posted November 4, 2010 I am afraid that my work to add iPad support (which is very near completion) has caused this issue. Currently the eKeypad applications are not flagged as supported on the iPad. This means that they should run in the compatibility mode you are accustom to using. In the recent update, I attempted to rush a fix out for a specific crash and accidentally left part of the iPad support enabled. You are seeing a crash because eKeypad is trying to load a non-existent iPad optimized screen. I have already fixed this issue and submitted the update to Apple yesterday. I spoke with them about what happened and they are expediting review. An update should be available today or tomorrow. This issue only affects eKeypad running on the iPad. I am sorry for the trouble this has caused.
jamiefiedler Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 thanks jayson, glad it was an easy and quick fix. native ipad support? can't wait!
jaysonc Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 Oh, yea. Coming very soon. Several other nice things in process as well.
jamiefiedler Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 downloaded 2.2.4 today - all is well again on ipad. thanks!
midrar Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I have an analog cctv system with a ethernet DVR which lets me stream it over any internet connection. Does the eKeypad support this type of system?
jaysonc Posted November 10, 2010 Author Posted November 10, 2010 Midrar, Currently eKeypad has support for DVRs from 3 manufacturers. Unfortunately only one of these is available in the US...Dedicated Micros eKeypad supports all models of Dedicated Micros DVRs. I should note that DVRs from several other manufacturers are in process and will be high on the priority list after native iPad support is completed. These include select DVR models from: Everfocus, Luxon and Samsung. eKeypad is always looking for good equipment to add support for. If you can give some additional details on the DVR you have it is possible that support can be added for it if it is not one of the 4 listed above.
