windrockwater Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 I have a bunch of sonos equipment and the ISY99. I think i may be having some port issues. I set a static IP for my ISY. And I am forwarding TCP/UDP ports 443 to the ISY's static IP. But I believe sonos also uses port 80 as does ISY for HTTP. Can I change the HTTP and HTTPS ports that ISY uses (I see that i can in the configure page). If so, are there some safe and recommended ports to use for the ISY that wouldnt conflict with other devices?
Michel Kohanim Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Hello windrockwater, First of all, you can have as many devices on your network using the same ports as long as they have different IP addresses AND that you are not doing any port forwarding in your router. If the above two conditions are met then do not change anything. Now, in case you want to change the ports - and as you noted - you can certainly do it via Configuration | System tab. It's always a good idea to use ports above 10000. Or, you may want to make sure it's not listed here: http://ports.my-addr.com/tcp_port_list- ... 4-7000.php With kind regards, Michel
