AD8BC Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 I was trying to telnet into my ISY and was having difficulties with Windows Vista not knowing how to Telnet. Turns out telnetting is disabled by default in Vista. Here is an excellent place to learn how to turn it on: http://www.windowsitpro.com/Article/Art ... 93952.html
Brian H Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 Thank you for the information. With Vista being shipped on almost all new computers. This will be a big help.

io_guy Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I've always preferred to use PuTTY with Windows. PuTTY is open source and supports telnet, SSH and serial port.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 io_guy, I love putty ... it's a life saver especially when dealing with SSH. With kind regards, Michel
