apostolakisl Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I noticed that my ISY clock was off by like 15 minutes. So I checked the time server section and I had an ! mark next to the time server. I was using us.pool.ntp.org which used to work I tried changing to 0.north-america.pool.ntp.org and that didn't work either. What am I doing wrong here? The error it is giving me is that it can't resolve the dns.
andyf0 Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 There are alot of NTP time servers. I use time-nw.nist.gov which is a NIST time server. Seems to always be available.
apostolakisl Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 So I tried time-nw.nist.gov as well. I get the same error. Must be something with the ISY.
apostolakisl Posted April 20, 2011 Author Posted April 20, 2011 OK, I fixed it by changing my DNS server. Don't know why it stopped working.
Michel Kohanim Posted April 21, 2011 Posted April 21, 2011 Hello apostolakisl, Although unrelated, most time servers have limits on the interval between each request. Some are as high as 2 hours and some are as low as 10 minutes. pool.ntp.org is 10 minutes. With kind regards, Michel
