jackal
Here's an update. I got a replacement motion sensor (sensor A) and got an additional sensor (sensor and phase controller just in case. Results: 1. I managed to get Sensor A working by adding it as device "4240M-SP". 2. I couldn't get Sensor B working. I couldn't add it as "4240M-SP" but managed to add it as "4240M". However, it wouldn't detect and send signals to ISY. I tried deleting and adding but same results. Question: 1. What kind of diagnostic can I do to be sure Sensor B is detecting "motion"? It just wouldn't trigger my programs (same as Sensor A program) 2. What is the difference between 4240M-SP and 4240M in ISY? Thanks for any heads up! jackal
Well..it's working now. All I did was to trying out the 'group' devices in ISY while the motion sensor was still in linking mode. That did the trick. So I have ISY profile with 2420M-SP and 2420M. Not sure what's the difference.
Michel Kohanim
Hello jackal, That's quite odd since grouping acts on the logical level and linking at the physical level. SP is SmartHome Pro brand for their more expensive equipment. With kind regards, Michel
