tpolito Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 As stated in one of my other threads, I recently installed some Insteon Devices and an ISY for someone. Everything works great when accessing the ISY from the local network, but I am having trouble enabling the internet access. The client has a new Linksys E1200 with uPnP enabled. When I select Enable Internet Access for the ISY, it appears to work properly and gives me an IP address to log into, but it is a 192.168.X.XXX IP address, and doesn't work from outside the network. What is puzzling me is that I followed these same steps at my own house 6 months ago (at least as best as I can remember) with my Linksys E2500 router, and it works fine. What am I missing here? FYI, I am using the latest BETA firmware 3.1.4 for the ISY.
Michel Kohanim Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Hello Tom, It seems that your router is connected to another router. Please let me know the topology of your network. With kind regards, Michel
tpolito Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 No, but maybe. The router is connected to a cable modem, but it is a Motorola Surfboard wireless cable modem, so maybe that acts as a router as well? Is there something I need to go in and disable?
tpolito Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 I got it to work. Just had to disable the NAT on the modem.
