Controlling Chime Setting Programmatically

Hi, I am interested in being able to turn my ELK chime on or off via an ISY program. The only way I have been able to do it it to create a Elk Automation Task and map that to a function key (e.g F4) on one of my ELK keypads and then use a ISY then statement that "presses" that ELK keypad function key.

Is there a more straightforward way?

Thanks.

Hi ski2020,

For now you will have to use an Elk Task to turn your chime on/off. An easier way than using a function key may be to use an unused output from the 208 that are available. This would even allow you to have an off timer for the chime (since outputs have optional off timers).

I have used "phantom" outputs for chirping the siren as well as having Elk tasks run ISY programs and vice-versa. It seems to be instant for all intents and purposes. Any delay would not seem to be more than .1 second.
