Linking Devices

Recommended Posts

Hello i'm currently trying to link a In-LineLinc to the isy-99i for a class and it doesn't want to work work. I set the isy-99i to linking mode and then I go over to the In-LineLinc and hold the set but the ISY doesn't ever see me trying to link the two. There are no other devices plugged into the outlet. I've tried linking the device manually but that doesn't work either. I also have a ToggleLinc and that linked up fine. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Where is the InLine Linc receiving power relative to the PLM?

Does the InLine Linc Green LED turn On and Off as the InLine Linc On and Off buttons are pressed?

It sounds like the InLine Linc could be on the opposite 120V leg and there is no coupling of the 2 120V legs.

I have the InLine Linc in a motion sensor on a board along with a Toggle Linc, Outlet Linc and a Keypad Linc. The board is on the opposite side of the room of the PLM. The light on the InLine Linc does turn on and off. I also have the PLM plugged into the wall not a surge protector or power strip. Should I move the two closer together while trying to link?

I would have thought that with the other devices linking and the InLineLinc powered from the same location it should have linked. Try plugging the PLM and the InLineLinc into the same outlet. That eliminates the question of being on opposite 120V legs.

The Set button on the InLineLinc is being used to identify the device, not the On or Off button.
