Armed Stay vs Armed Away

I am currently monitoring my ELK remotely. I could swear the status was 'Armed Away' when I checked before yesterday. But my daughter was in the house for a brief minute to pick something up. She say's she pressed the 'Exit' button before leaving.

What I've noticed today is the ISY only shows the fully armed status for 'Armed Stay'. I disarmed and pressed the 'Armed Away' button on the ISY console. I was able to monitor the normal 60 sec. countdown but as the system became fully armed, the state went from 'Armed Away' to 'Armed Stay'. I can't seem to correct the armed status.

What would cause this and is there a workaround?

Just to be sure, verify the discrepancy in armed status between the isy and the elk, either through the elk m1xep web interface or on a keypad.

I initially was unaware that if you arm away, but fail to violate an entry zone, the elk changes to arm stay. so when I remotely armed away, since I didn't physically open/close the door, after the entry-exit delay it dropped to armed stay.

I know this wouldn't answer the question of your daughter arming away, but perhaps she is mistaken. for the record, my isy/elk correctly reflect armed away and stay.

If this is the case, you could wire and output to a spare zone, and when remote arming the system to the away mode, you could via a program, toggle the output to simulate the zone vilation. You could connect the output in series with the actual exit door zone but I would prefer to keep the fuctions isolated for more flexability.
