bcrawfo2 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 I have a new lamplinc I'm adding to my system. I put it in link mode and do "start linking" on the ISY. I did a factory reset which didn't help. Here is the log...help please. LeeG Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 There is no indication the ISY PLM received a device identification message from the LampLinc when the Set button was pressed. How long was the LampLinc Set button pressed? What is the device type of the LampLinc?
LeeG Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Just read the initial post again. The LampLinc is NOT put into linking mode. Start Linking is clicked, a popup message is displayed with a Finish button. The LampLinc Set button is pressed for 3-5 seconds.
bcrawfo2 Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 You're right...order mattered. 99% of my devices I added by entering the address manually. I just changed my process when I received a device where the address was printed wrong. Thanks...sorry.
LeeG Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 No problem at all. I too use New INSTEON Device most of the time so I can enter a meaningful name. Glad it is working.
