ceaser2000 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Hi, I am very new to the isy99. Having a great time learning here. I have a question though,I would like to recieve a text when my garage door is opened. I can have it send email when it opens, but my cell phone provider is not listed in the notifications tab. Is there a way to manualyy add my local cell provider so I can send text. Ken
Michel Kohanim Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Hi Ken, Welcome to our forum! Yes, most providers have email addresses for their services. So, for instance, SMS to Verizon used to be: your_phone_number@vztext.com .... Who's your service provider? With kind regards, Michel
ceaser2000 Posted April 22, 2012 Author Posted April 22, 2012 I am in Sask. Canada. My service provider is sasktel. I will check with Sasktel on email. Thankyou
oberkc Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Try: * Sasktel: [10-digit phone number]@sms.sasktel.com
biredale Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I am interested in this too for Rogers in Canada. Brian
oberkc Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I am interested in this too for Rogers in Canada. These kinds of things are usually available with a simple google search. I tried "rogers cell phone email to text" and quickly found: 10-digit cell phone number @ pcs.rogers.com Give it a try. Hopefully this will work for you.
