DOA ISY-994i? Red light blinking

Featured Replies

I received my ISY-994i pro ir today and plugged it in to find that the error light (red led) is blinking. A little googling told me that this is an indicator of a bad SD card. I opened the SD card slot to look inside and found there is no SD card. Is this normal?

I cannot access the ISY-994i on my network. I don't even think it's pulling an IP address.

Is there any other LED blinking. My 994i will blink red if there is no Ethernet connection. Make sure the Ethernet and Port A connections are not reversed. I have no external opening for an SD card which makes me think there is none.

Power, RX and TX lights are solid. No other lights are blinking.

Lee, My ISY994i has a small plasitc snap on cover on the front marked. "MicroSD" next to the red error LED. I have never peeked inside it.

uffy - I was wrong. After taking the 994i off the wall I do have a Micro SD card behind the small cover next to the Red Error LED.

Thanks Brian. I had looked for something larger along the sides like the 99i has with a similar case. Should have removed it from the mounting to see the front better.

You should have a micro SD card behind the cover.

You may want to contact the vendor you bought it from.

Though I know UDI's support is second to none and they may post some added thoughts.

I have started an RMA with my retailer. I think it was supposed to come with the SD.

Not going to work with out a SD card. Mine has a 1GB one in it.

Hello uffy,

I am so very sorry to hear. Can you tell me from which store you purchased the unit from?

With kind regards,

Michel
