I've had to restore my PLM twice now. Solution?

I've had two episodes where my PLM lost touch with my network. Once was after an update. Other time was arbitrary. Ive had her for 3-5 years, is she getting old and forgetful? (joke)

 

If you suggest replacing it, which model should I go with? Or am I overreacting?

There is only one Serial PLM being offered by Smarthome, the 2413S Dual Band PLM.

If your old one was a 2412S PLM it most likely was also supplying the power to the ISY99i.

The 2413S does not provide power through the interface cable so you need a external supply along with the 2413S if you chose to get a replacement.

It was time to get a new one anyways! You will have the benefit of a dual band device, while also receiving all of latest improvements in the PLM to strengthen your Insteon network.
