Ryan0751 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I have two Keypad (8 button) Linc controllers installed. I have several scenes where I want to set the primary load level to a dimmed amount. I created each scene, and added in the keypads first listing using the "new insteon device" option. When I trigger the scene in the ISY99 interface, everything is great. If I trigger the scene from the keypad linc that's NOT acting as a responder, everything is great as well. If I trigger the scene using the keypad linc with the primary load set at a dimmed level, the primary load just pops on at 100%. Is there a way to fix this? I have a number of scenes like this. The devices show up as: (2486D) KeypadLinc Dimmer 8 Buttons v.36
Ryan0751 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 I've attached the topology file as well. I've only been using this for a day, so be gentle topology.v3.2.6__Thu 2012.08.02 08.08.33 PM.html.zip
Ryan0751 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Wait... I think I figured something out, when I select each keypadlinc controller directly, I see that here the loads are set to 100%! This is confusing. Why didn't it take the defaults I specified for the group?
Michel Kohanim Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Hello Ryan0751, I am so very sorry to hear. I think it would be quite useful to review this article so that, at the least, we will be using the same vernacular: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... h_tutorial One you have studied this article, then please do let us know what you're trying to accomplish and we'll do our best to answer. Ryan0751 Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Thanks, that does help. I think I have it all sorted out. Before buying the ISY I couldnt get anything working well just using the insteon controllers themselves. This thing is great!
Michel Kohanim Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Thanks so very much for the update and the vote of confidence! With kind regards, Michel
