Controlling primary load using pads on keypad linc

Featured Replies

I have two Keypad (8 button) Linc controllers installed. I have several scenes where I want to set the primary load level to a dimmed amount.

I created each scene, and added in the keypads first listing using the "new insteon device" option.

When I trigger the scene in the ISY99 interface, everything is great. If I trigger the scene from the keypad linc that's NOT acting as a responder, everything is great as well.

If I trigger the scene using the keypad linc with the primary load set at a dimmed level, the primary load just pops on at 100%.

Is there a way to fix this? I have a number of scenes like this.

The devices show up as:

(2486D) KeypadLinc Dimmer 8 Buttons v.36

Wait... I think I figured something out, when I select each keypadlinc controller directly, I see that here the loads are set to 100%!

This is confusing. Why didn't it take the defaults I specified for the group?

Hello Ryan0751,

I am so very sorry to hear. I think it would be quite useful to review this article so that, at the least, we will be using the same vernacular:

One you have studied this article, then please do let us know what you're trying to accomplish and we'll do our best to answer.

Thanks, that does help.

I think I have it all sorted out. Before buying the ISY I couldnt get anything working well just using the insteon controllers themselves. This thing is great!
