zeenon Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 I consider my home install pretty lucky because I really have not had any issues. I buy a new switch, start up the admin console add it and move on. I recently tackled a 4 way switch install which went well (1 Keylinc and 2 Switchlincs) Button A is controlled by either a remote linc button or the Keylinc A. Now because I have the keylinc I wanted to program the other buttons B, C, D along with the remotelinc buttons. So to make a long story short I'm really stuck. I deleted the switchlinc and no matter what I do, I can not add it back. If I try to backup the ISY, I get an error CONF/XXXXXX.REC where XXXXXX is the address of the switch. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I just want a scene like I currently have with Keylinc button A, in which a remotelinc or keylinc turns on a switch linc. A works, B failed miserably. Z
Brian H Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Are you running the latest 3.2.6 firmware on your ISY99i? New switches are now I2CS and need 3.2.6 to be used properly.
zeenon Posted September 6, 2012 Author Posted September 6, 2012 Yes Insteon_UD99 v.3.2.6 (2012-05-04) on both the firmware and UI Z
Michel Kohanim Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Hello zeenon, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do the following: 1. Telnet to ISY (http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... o_Your_ISY) 2. Login using your credentials 3. At the prompt, type: RF /CONF/XXXXX.REC where XXXXX is the file that ISY is complaining about 4. Do the above for all files for which you have problems All this said, I am a little worried that may have a corrupted file system and/or SD Card. So, before you reboot, take a good backup and make sure you keep it somewhere safe. With kind regards, Michel
