hi, when i make changes to my 2441th on the thermostat, the changes dont make it to the isy unless i query it. it does work the other way though. i am currently using 3.3.2, but have tried 3.3.3 and 3.2.6. 3.2.6 would only add i node of the thermostat, so i didnt test past that. 3.3.3 doesnt display any information about the thermostat in the isy.

any help is appreciated.

I have a 2442TH working on 3.3.3. I deleted and added it under 3.3.3 to be sure add is working. Suggest deleting definition. Factory reset the thermostat and be sure it is Off. Use New INSTEON Device with Auto Discover.

The Admin Console display is showing Mode and Set Point changes made at the thermostat.

Check Help | About to be sure both Firmware and UI show 3.3.3 before adding 2441TH.

Note: it takes a second or two before the thermostat sends the change. That way if the Set Point is being moved through a range only the final Set Point is sent to the ISY.

The 2441ZTH User Guide indicates E2 FE rather than E2 EF but I don't know that it matters as that is listed for Broadcast messages which the ISY does not use for other devices.

Does the Event Viewer show any Insteon traffic from the 2441ZTH when Set Points or Mode is changed at the thermostat.

An Event Viewer at Level 3 would provide more information but it looks like from the summary the thermostat is sending information, it just happens to be all 00's. The only suggestion would be to start over. Delete the thermostat, factory reset, be sure the Mode is Off and add it back using 3.3.3. Be sure Help | About shows 3.3.3 for both Firmware and UI.

flemingmike,

If you are on 3.3.3, have removed and added back your thermostat in 3.3.3, and still do not get any status, then only two things could be contributing:

1. The thermostat is defective

2. You have too many links in the PLM ... for this, you can go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table, click on Start button, wait till it's complete, and then click on the Count button. Anything above 800 is problematic.

With kind regards,

Michel

The Show PLM Links Table and subsequent Count has to be done multiple times to see if the number is reproducible. Any Insteon traffic reaching the PLM during the Show will cause the count to be artificially high or low depending on where the link is that matches in the inbound traffic versus how far the Show has progressed.
