I have two motion sensors, and they are set up to send my cell a text message if they detect motion between certain programmed hours.

 

This works great, but as you can imagine, there are days where I need to be home and such, and the texts get annoying very very quickly.

 

I'm curious as to how others have solved this. I obviously don't want a physical control sitting around that you can press a button and set a flag on the ISY to disable the motion program.

 

I can create a program in the ISY that I trigger from MobileLync. But then I need to remember to reset it for the next day. Any suggestions?

How about a program that you call from Mobilinc to disable the motion programs and another program that runs every morning to enable the motion programs. Doesn't matter if they are already enabled and this way you don't have to remember.

I use DSCLinc software to monitor my DSC alarm system and set a home/away variable. This enables some programs to run and disables others. Alternatively, if you don't have an alarm, you can set a KPL button to enable or disable your motion sensor notifications through a variable. If I used this method, I would probably forget to re-enable the notifications so I would need another program to re-enable manually after some period of time.
