flsenior Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Does anyone have ideas on how to make a triggerlinc somewhat weather resistant/tolerant? I would like to use them on some exterior doors. For the most part they would be sheltered from rain, however, it is not guaranteed. They also would be exposed to the sun. I wish there was a wireless door trigger. I have tried motion detectors but they are not reliable in windy conditions as too many environmental items such as trees, plants, etc. are near the doors and are moving in the wind causing false alarms.
LeeG Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 The TriggerLinc has a connection for an external switch. Magnetic switches are water proof. Mount a magnetic switch where needed and run a pair of wires to a protected location containing the TriggerLinc itself.
