I have a Swichlinc that is set for 40% on and fast ramp for local. I have a program that if it goes to 40% between certain hours, then go to fast on. If the switch is off and I press it on, ISY does not see that, sometimes. If It is at 100% and I press on again, it goes to 40%, then right back to 100% every time (like it should) ISY always sees it go off. I replaced the dimmer today with a new one and it has the same results. It is the only unit that has been lees that 100% reliable, and this also happens when the PLM/ISY is plugged in the outlet near the switch, among other outlets. Anyone else have this problem?

Hello,

Can you copy/paste your program here?

With kind regards,

Michel

   And From 7:00:00AM
       To 9:00:00PM (same day)

While we are looking at programs, this one did not work last night...

The Deck Spots were off at 10:00, which is when the folder is enabled. Nothing happened at 10:01. Let me know what I am doing wrong.

Deck Spots Status: (Decks Spots is an Icon A/L)

If
       Time is 10:01:00PM
And Status 'Deck Spots' is Off

Then
Run Program 'Deck Spots Turns Off Night'

Else
  - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Deck Spots Turns Off Night:

If
Control 'KeypadLinc A (Deck Spots)' is switched Off

Then
       Wait 1 hour
       Set 'Malibu Lights' On
       Wait 4 minutes
       Set 'Malibu Lights' Off
       Wait 1 minute
Set Scene 'Deck Spots Button' On

Else
  - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Decks Spots Turns On Night:

If
Control 'KeypadLinc A (Deck Spots)' is switched On

Then
Stop program 'Deck Spots Turns Off Night'

Else
  - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

mcrean,

I'm not sure if this is a typo but, your original post specified a local on level of 40%. Your program specifies 43% - if this is correct you won't get a trigger. Other than that this program should function properly (just tested it).

I looked over your second program as well. I don't see any obvious error's. I'm assuming that these both worked at one time. If that's the case, and you're still running V2.6 or 2.6.1, you may have been bit by the Feb 29th bug. These versions have a calender problem with the 29th and caused problems with timed schedules.

Check the status of your "scheduled folders". If they are "false" when they should obviously be "true" you have two options:

1)Upgrade to beta 2.6.2 (problem corrected).

2)Manually update your date on the ISY and reboot.

If
       Status 'Keria's Bedroom' is 43%
   And From 7:00:00AM
       To 9:00:00PM (same day)

Then
       Set 'Keria's Bedroom' Fast On

Else
  - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Thanks IndyMike,

It is not a typo, I had to set it for 43% because ISY would not set it back to 40% for some reason. In my case it does not work if the switch has been off for a few minutes. It works if I stand there and turn it on and off, but if I leave it off and take a break, then come back, it does not work.

As for the second part, I upgraded to 2.6.2 on Feb 29. The folder was true. at the time. I also added the line if the module is not on. maybe a little redundancy might help...

Hi Michael,

Would you be kind enough to change the condition to

>40%

and

I'd like to make sure it's not status "value" related issue.

Thanks and with kind regards,

Michel

Michel,

I did what you asked, no change. The ISY is not seeing the switch turn on. It still shows Off. That is why the trigger is not working. I am testing a different switch in a different location, if that proves good then I will swap the switches. It may be a communication issue.

Thanks again,

Michael

Michael,

I re-read your original post again. I sounds as if the PLM can't "hear" the switch unless it's at a level somewhere above 40%.

Does the switch respond to the ISY/PLM when it's off (turn on from a off condition)?

I'm beginning to wonder if you have a problem with your neutral connection to the switch. If this switch works in another location, you may want to start checking connections along the circuit (other boxes in the chain).

Thank you all for your help. I am pretty certain now that it is the lamp itself. It is a dimmable halogen power supply. I did the switch switch and eliminated the switch being the issue. I then put a regular incandescent load on it and it works fine.
