Thermostat Control Away Mode

I made a scene called "Away" that could be activated by a keypad button near the exit doorway to our home.

 

Whenever the scene is activated from that keypad button, it will send pre-set temperature ranges to all the thermostats in the house (4 of them) to save energy.

 

When the scene is activated, it is incorrectly sending random temperatures to the thermostats.

 

Any ideas why this is happening? Should I be trying to do this some other way (like using programs or even variables?)

Which thermostats? SmartHome's or Venstar's?

 

I'm relatively confident that the Venstar's should work properly. I am not so sure about SmartHome's.

All four are venstar (built in insteon).

 

Many times, the temperatures are WAY off too, like "cool" to 12 degrees etc
