Pre purchase question

Planning on getting as ISY99i to add to my ELKM1G (mainly for e-mail and text purposed right now). Trying to decide which version to get. Should I get the Zigbee version? I do not know much about Zigbee, but may get to a poiunt someday where it would be useful?

 

Any suggestions?

You could start with a 994i.

Zigbee, IR and "Pro" can be added after the fact.

Yes to that. Keep in mind that only one radio can be added. To the best of my knowledge, zigbee is the only radio available, but zwave I understand is in the works.
