For the last few months my garage door status has been updating intermittently. Sometimes the status LED on my keypads are OFF but to my surprise the garage door is still open. I think I am just seeing another IOlinc failure. I believe every single IOlinc that I have used in the last 8 to 10 years has failed. The failure starts out slow with the sensor input not sending its status reliably and eventually total failure of the module. Relay control seems to work fine and never had comm issues in my garage area. We really need another solution for getting IO conditions into the ISY reliably other than the 2450. I have a super simple program that is driving me nuts. I have a bunch of lighting related programs that are based off of ambient light. Since I dont have a photocell I amd useing sunrise and sunset times. To simplify this process I made a variable called "Light", if the varible is 1 its dark out or 0 for daylight. I thought this would be simple but for some reason the program runs just fine at sunset and changes the variable to 1, but for some reason it instantly changes it back to 0. I am running firmware v.4.2.30 and same UI. Everything has been working pretty well but I just noticed in the admin console that I can no longer see my programs/email notifications etc.They are still on the ISY as I can see them and run them from Mobilinc and they run automatically but I no longer see any of them in the admin console. I also keep getting a read/agree to the license agreement every time I connect to the admin console. What the heck is going on and how do I get back adminstration of my programs/notifications?

Hi All, I am looking at replacing my standard deadbolts at my house. My family for the life of them cant seem to figure out how to lock the doors. Anyway, I know there are Yale, August and others. I have been reading through the forums and it seems there are lots of issues. Anyone found a setup they like that works consistently and has decent enough battery life? Zwave, Insteon or other? My Administrative Console has gotten all messed up. I need to delete and reinstall it. In the process of trying to find where it was located I got frustrated and went to the file and deleted the folder that it was in. I have reinstalled it, but now it won't open completely. It opens partially and I can't get it to work. How can I uninstall it and reinstall it correctly? GBC

I know this should be easy. Presuming that an "all off" command being sent should be done programmatically, how should the button be set up? Non toggle on? Then is the "If" condition in the program "control" - "on"? Thanks

Couldn't some sort of software HomeKit bridge module be implemented? There are already software bridges that can run on a separate PC (homebridge, home control). Why not have something that runs like this on the ISY itself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sorry guys - first jump into KPI. Normal people start slow. I threw 4 in my system without having any experience with them. I have a 6 button controlling the load in the family room. It is on a Fanlinc so I have set the "Fanlinc-Light to a 2 second ramp rate and the KPI to a 2 second ramp rate. But when I turn it on or off, it comes on/off immediately - no ramping. What am I forgetting to set?

Hi, Just got back into making some 994i tweaks over the holidays after doing some basic programming last year. Had my system basically trouble free for the last year so decided to add a Insteon Motion Sensor outside on my back sundeck to activate two new programs (see image below for programs that start with "Deck Motion Activates...). They both do similar things. One is for convenience where the motion sensor is to activate a Switchlinc that controls my light on the deck between sunset and sunrise only. When the isy994zw was in my house I could send notifications. It was ATT email server sent through an ATT dsl modem. The isy is now install in a house with a Charter modem. I am still using the ATT mail server, not sure if Charter blocks this. When I log in remotely something does not like the current SSL certificate. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get motion sensors to work in the bathroom. I'm trying to accomplish the following: 1) Daytime - turn on 100% with fast ramp based on motion and time out after no motion 2) Nighttime - turn on 30% with slow ramp based on motion and time out after no motion 3) Turn off if switch turned off 4) Ramp up light to 100% at night if switch pressed and turn off via switch or time out after no motion, reset to 30% until sunrise I'm struggling with the nighttime slow ramp and lower light and the ramp up override from the switch. I've been building out a system for a couple of years now and have close to 50 Insteon devices. I have one Z-Wave lock too and some IP cameras that operate via the network interface. In general things work great - programs operate as they should, etc. I'm reasonably capable at programming to get LED lights to do what they should and am a happy customer. I recently upgraded a router, which seems like it was a bad idea, because it has caused all sorts of headaches. My Admin Console can't find the controller. I can see the ISY994-EMS on my DCHP client list, but I can't figure out how to tell the Admin Console what to do next. Thanks in advance, and sorry for being such an idiot. Howdy folks. I just threw my Insteon hub pro in the garbage and made the switch to a shiny new ISY994i. So far so good. In fact the isy detected so many fubar 'ghosts in the machine' scene links that explain many of my past troubles. I am unable to enable internet access. So last night being New Years Eve I used other lights outside my normal scenes and schedule turning the brightness up or down on a few lights. Strange thing happened, after about 15-30 seconds they turned full on. Happened on three different lights. I tried to repeat the behavior today but cant duplicate this. I have noticed this happening various times in the past but I chocked it up to my fault or setup issues but clearly that is not the case now that I checked the lights. Thoughts on how should I go about trouble shooting this? Next time it happens just immediately go grab the log and post for help?

Hi I have a 994i Pro and its been on heavy duty managing my Christmas lights over the last month turning them on and off based on sunset/sunrise. But I noticed that recently several of my outlets don't seem to be getting the Off command. I am using a Program and a Scene to normally control this and for example when I get up in the morning and see the outdoor lights are still on I can go to the Program in the admin console and manually run the Then condition which turns off the scene and that turns the lights off OK. I had smarthome switch out my nearly 2 year old PLM since I was having all on events, hoping this would help. I got the new PLM, v 2.1, about 6-8 weeks ago and got it set up fine. I got home from work late today and things were not right in the house. I noticed that a program did not trigger from a double tap of a switchlinc. Some lights were on that were obviously trigger by programs, but the shades in our bedroom did not close on a program. I got a message that a garage door was open when it was closed. I searched the forums and have not found something that works although there are quite a few threads about integration with the Harmony remote. I have a Harmony remote setup to operate my entertainment center. I'd like to also be able to control the lights by pressing one of the remote buttons or running a remote "activity". I just bought the networking module but know nothing about it (just learning). The Harmony remote supposedly has a REST API. I have the Harmony Companion remote (this one). Is there a way to create a network resource to make this happen? if so, how? Thanks.

I received another 2852-222 Leak Sensor which indicates a hardware production of 4314, Rev 2.3 and ISY firmware of v.43. As others indicated this version of hardware does not seem to toggle the sensor from on to off when pressed? To confirm a few basics and expected behavior placing the sensor in a plate of water caused the device to immediately send a wet on. The dry node indicated off in the Admin Console, as expected. Watching the leaks sensor the LED flashed about every 15 - 17 seconds. Taking the unit out of the plate of water did not make the node change state which was also expected in the Admin Console. Hi, It seems that folks that want to use metric are getting forgotten by most thermostat manufacturers. Many thermostats are incapable of doing the conversion, and when they are, they get it wrong. I'm on my third model of thermostat now that can't seem to make metric work properly (if at all). Is there a way to configure the ISY to convert to °C through the UI? So, for instance, if a thermostat is reporting 71°F, it would just do the conversion to 21°C automatically before importing the data? Is there a way to do this outbound as well? Like a scale filter? The interface would seems to indicate that this functionality is present, since all of the drop-down me…

I used to see the option on the menu for the device to "Replace" an old device with a new one. But in 994i I am not seeing it like I saw it in my 99. How do you replace an old switch with a new one now in 994i?

I thought we used to be able to check the status of a scene in programming 99i.. Is that not possible anymore in the 994i or was I mistaken?

Hi All, I have an Outletlinc (2472D v.44) that I have manually linked to button B of a KPL (2334-2 v.43). When I say manually, I mean that I held the KPL button B down until the beep and then pressed the set button on the Outletlinc. The link was successful in that I can now control the Outletlinc from the KPL. However, I cannot get the ramp rate to work when pressing the KPL button. The Outletlinc switches off and on almost instantaneously rather than using the ramp rate that was programmed both locally, by setting the on level to 5% and double setting the set button and also by setting the ramp rate on the ISY.
