My INSY994i loses time pretty badly, so much so that I don't think it's any "normal" clock time drive issues. Here's an event log from a few minutes ago. What apps are there available for controlling the ISY from a phone? I have only seen Mobilinc but are there others? Both android and apple.

I have tried every suggested setup from this forum and the Mobilinc forum that I could dig up over the last few months to have accurate status and control of my garage doors using a KPL button and Mobilinc but could never get exactly what I want. After investing in a wired 2441TH Insteon Thermostat, I wanted to get a new zone for my upstairs which is always significantly different than where the wired thermostat is located on the main floor. I ordered the 2441ZTH (V1.5) recently and learned of a horrid bug which SH has not tasked to fix yet, and has been a known issue for over a year. The problem is that when both the Wired and Wireless are set to Celsius display, the wireless device thinks the current temperature is Farenheit and compares it the celsius set point comparing apples and oranges. I have several programs that if I go into the status of the devices there is "True" and "False" - the ones that are not working are "False". What do I have to do to get them to work? Under programs they are enabled. Thanks.

Hi everyone, Simple question, I'm installing a bathroom fan in my 1860's house that never had one before. I plan on using a insteon wireless thermostat to act as a humidistat to turn the fan on and off automatically. Obviously I will also require a manual switch for no humidity fan use. My question is, I have an extra fanlinc module. Has anyone used a fan linc module to control a bathroom fan? My fan doesn't have a light so I will have to cap the light feed but that's no big deal. My thoughts is I can add logic to the ISY to ramp up the fan as humidity climbs. Starting on low speed for low humidity and then go full speed when humidity peaks. Does anyone see an issue with…

Trying to figure out if this can be done with scenes only and no programs. I have two separate lights and a keypad. I would like both the upper lights and the vanity lights to be connected to the “c” button on the keypad so when either light turns on, the “c” turns on. I also want only the upper lights to turn on if I turn on the lights from the “c” button. My problem is if both lights are on and I turn off the vanity lights I want “c” to stay on because the upper lights are still on (and vice versa). Is this possible only with scenes and no programs (or scene adjusts)? I can only think of the following: Scene 1 Upper lights (controller), Keypad C (responder…

I have two 2744D dual band SwithcLinc dimmers that I've retrofitted into a closet following the instructions that came with them for a three way installation. (Identifying the load side, the line side, capping off unused traveler wire, etc.) These have been installed and working well, but not controlled by a scene, for around 18 months. Following the suggestion on the wiki, I put both switches into a scene (as responders) that's controlled by a RemoteLinc 2 button that will turn them on by bringing both to 50% with a 2 second ramp with another scene to take them back to 0% the same way. Hello, I have all of my lighting programs in two folders, one for normal lighting and one for when I'm away. The normal folder conditions look like: If Control 'Keypad-A' is switched off And Control 'Keypad-A' is not switched on Then Allow the programs in this folder to run. and vice-versa for the away folder. This is how the configuration is set: Firmware v4.2.18 Query at Restart - checked Wait while busy reading - checked Send compact notifications - unchecked Catch up schedules at restart - checked Missed Schedule Grace period - 10:0 Nothing in either folder will run upon reboot. I am wondering if anyone is using LED strips for under cabinet lighting or to light inside cabinets/displays? I am looking for LED strip lights in daylight 5000K that I can directly control with my Insteon keypads to dim, etc. Everything I have seen so far requires a transformer with its own controls. I have a few areas where these new LED tape lights would be nice to have glow softly on counters and walkways. I was wondering who else may have done this. Thanks in advance for the info. I would hate to go back to halogens!

Hello guys, newbie here, wanted to get some feedback on wifi thermostats that you guys have been using. I need one that has a well documented API so I can integrate multiple under one roof. So far I am looking at www.radiothermostat.com since they have a documented API. But then I saw Venstar seems to have an API as well. I am not interested in cloud based API, I want to connect and control locally. Also, anyone know if honeywell has released any APIs for their wifi stat? cheers.

I started with the old 2414U PLC with timers then moved up to HouseLinc in 2011, and am now faced with another end of life product and a failing 2413U, likely with the dreaded capacitor problem. I plan to upgrade to the ISY994i Pro but I'm wondering what the best method for migration might be. I've got about 40 devices, including motion sensors, IRLinc, KeypadLinc, switches, dimmers, RemoteLincs, 2242 Hub, etc. Many of the switches have multiple links to other switches. I have an old motion sensor 2420M that I want to use in the boathouse of our vacation home. The idea being that if someone enters the boathouse while we are away then I will be notified via email (and/or text) and, if it's at night, a series of lights in the house will be turned to on to simulate our presence. Below are the 3 programs that i wrote to hopefully accomplish what I want. When I add a KeypadLinc 8 button, it used to show up with the buttons grouped in the devices list, as shown in the first screenshot. Now it shows up with the buttons separate, as shown in the second screenshot. Is there a way to have the grouped behavior? Because those groups can be opened and closed, it makes a long list much more manageable. Thanks, –Dan [sorry if this question has been answered. Recently updated my ISY994i PRO. Running the latest JAVA (8 - 65), cleared cache, signed in. MAIN tab shows my devices but when I select the PROGRAMS tab it loops for awhile trying to load the programs and eventually doesn't load them. Running Windows 10 and using Internet Explorer. Tried this on another Windows 10 PC and it works. Any ideas?

Occasionally, when I delete a program I get a message window entitled "Deleting 1 programs" whose content is balnk. The Admin Console freezes at that point and must be restarted. How do I eliminate this problem?

I have four InLineLinc Dimmers installed in my attic for driving track lighting in the living room below. Using the Link Management | Start Linking method, I can add three of them and tie them to scenes. The "start linking" method never detects the fourth one. Trying to add it by address results "Cannot determine Insteon Engine". Using a manual link process to a controller (Press and hold button on RemoteLinc 2 until beep, press and hold set button on dimmer until double beep) works, I can control the dimmer with the button, but can't add it to scenes, other controllers, etc. All four dimmers are on the same circuit, a breaker by themselves. I recently installed an ISY994i/IR Pro, Insteon 2413S PLM, and two Insteon On/Off 2443-2222 devices to control a set of external venetian blinds. They are working great, thanks to help from the forum. I have purchased two more On/Off modules to control another set of shades in the office, which is a separate building approximately 40 feet from the main house. The On/Off modules will not link to the ISY when they are located in the office. I have tested linking them when they are in the main house, and that works perfectly. What do I need to do to make this work? Apologies if this post should be in the Communications section. Thanks!!

I have 7 Trane TZEMT400BB32 Z-Wave thermostats that I can’t get to communicate with my ISY994. They used to, but while having house renovated last winter, I tried to remove from network and was unable, so I deleted them from ISY. Now I cant get them back. On stats, when I go to Menu>Wave Install, it says “Remove Thermostat from ZWave Network”. But that option never changes. Does anybody have any ideas on how can I get them back? FYI, I also have a Trane XL824 (TCONT824AS52DA), but that was never part of system, because it does not appear to be compatible. But may be causing problems? We also have Elk M1G integrated. I have a light that I would like to come on at either 4:30pm, or 2 hours before sunset, whichever occurs LATER. With this criteria, the light would never come on before 4:30pm, but could come on well after 6pm on the longest days of the year. How would I capture this logic with a 994i timer? Many thanks!

So I use the crap out of variables to control things, and I use the API to set variables from my Android phone with Tasker. Easy enough. Well, I switched to a new phone today, which has no method of gaining root access, so a couple of my programs that involve variables on my ISY aren't working. These ones are a little more complicated, basically they get a variable value and then Tasker evaluates it and does an if/else. What it ends up doing is if the variable on the ISY is 0, then set it to 1, if it's 1, then set it to 0. I accomplished this by getting the variable value from an API call, writing it to a file, then having Tasker read the file into a variable (for some …
