Does anyone know if there are plans to integrate the insteon hub as a controler in addition to the 2413S? It would only require a tcpip connection to port 9761 and the commands work the same as the 2413s.

Apologies if this has been asked before, yet I can't find the answer when I do a search or scan through the forum. Although I have used ISY for many years, I now need to set up some season programs and can't figure out how to do that. Example: We have a waterfall and is controlled by an outdoor on/off Insteon controller. To keep the waterfall clean and odor free, we like to run it during some time of the day, HOWEVER only in the summer months. The scheduler seems to allow only specific date ranges in a specific year rather than allowing me to select specific months. I'm betting someone has a good solution for this... or perhaps I am missing something obviou…

I have written a program to turn on the lights about 1/2 hour before sunset and off later in the evening. The only check is Time is Sunset - 30 minutes, I don't care about the state. In the same "Then" clause I turn on 4 different devices, 2 of which are Insteon bulbs (2674-222) and (2672-222). While the other 2 devices (a wall switch and a plug in module) work consistently every time, the bulbs do not. Sometimes 1, the other or both will work randomly. The ISY log shows the commands were sent, the devices did not respond (says the human). Has anyone run into this? The odds of 2 different bulbs in 2 different lamps being defective is slim. I just installed a new Keypadlinc, and every time you press a button, the green LED flashes as a transmit indicator, or something similar. It's odd since none of my other keypads do it, plus it's kind of tacky. I searched the forum and inter-webs for about 20 minutes but couldn't find a solution. Anyone ever seen this or have any idea if it's a feature that's controllable...or if it's a permanent function of newer firmware? Thanks.

I have two 2466SW each controlling a light load (A. & B.) I want to have one switch (B.) follow the action of the other switch (A.). That is, when A. is switched ON, B. is switched ON. I created a Scene with switch A. as controller and B. as responder, but B. is not following A. What am I doing wrong ?.

What happened to the Venstar 2491t Thermostat? Were they unreliable or was there simply not enough interest? I liked the fact that they didn't need the Venstar Insteon Thermostat Adapter, providing a much cleaner look. I have 2 of the 2491t's and was looking to buy another but they don't seem to make them anymore!

Hello Everyone. I'm looking for some advice on how to accomplish the following scenario. I have one scene set to turn on throughout the day at 60% on rate It's set up as follows: Livingroom Day Scene - responders set to come on at 60% controller - Keypadlinc button c responder - livingroom light 1, livingroom light 2 as it gets darker at night and the scene is still on, i'd like the lights in the scene to automatically adjust to say 80% on level. Would I have to do this through the use of another scene or use a program to accomplish this? Thanks in advance calberrt

Has anyone figured out how to access the administrative console via an Ipad? It would make doing diagnostics so much easier that carrying a laptop around from room to room. Thanks

I set up an Insteon scene via ISY containing two switches. One of the switches is connected to a load, and was added to a scene as a responder. The other switch has no load connected, and was added to the scene as a controller. So both switches control the load - no problem there. When I control the load using the non-load switch, everything works as expected. However, if I control the load using the switch that's connected to the load, the other switch doesn't show the correct state of the load. The light goes on, but the controller switch doesn't *show* that the light is on. Is there a way to fix that?

One of my KPLs randomly pulsates its LEDs. The KPL is in 8-button mode with a 6-button faceplate. Only the middle four LEDs pulsate even though the bottom two LEDs (covered with a large button) are also secondary buttons as is one of the top buttons. The Close buttons are set to Always Off, the Open buttons are set to Always On. Two (of the three) other devices shown to the right do not always pulsate. The SwitchLinc labelled "Ceiling" is on the same circuit, the SwitchLinc labelled "Patio" is not. The SwitchLinc labelled "Fireplace" is on the same circuit and doesn't pulsate. Another device, a LampLinc also on a different (third) circuit sometimes pulsates, too. …

Hi all, Tonight I was trying to control only one of the 8 led lights on my 8 button Keypadlinc. When I attempted through a program to SET the Keypadlinc Button Key F on, all 8 buttons LED's turned on or off. I could not get that individual F key button to be control by itself. Then I tried to look up the answer in the Wiki and if I am reading it correctly, I just need to create a scene with just the F Key from the Keypadlinc in the Scene, I guess as a controller, nothing else? And just have the program control the scene not the keypadlinc itself. Or do I need to change the default setting for the Button Group? The button group settings info seems t…

Good Afternoon, I recently moved into a new home and find my self starting from near zero on my isy/programming skills. My question: I have a keypad that isn't behaving the way I want it to. I have a scene that includes a lamp module (responder) and keypad (controller). I also have another scene with the opposite (in case the lamp is turned on in a different scene). If I turn on the lamp through the admin console the keypad button lights up and the button will turn the scene off. However, if I use the keypad to turn on the scene the button blinks a few times then nothing happens. ...see attached image below Am I missing something simple?…

I haven't been paying much attention lately, so I'm a little confused about the plan for the ISY Portal feature. I see that there is an ISY Portal upgrade module available for $175. Is this going to be the up front cost to upgrade to version 5 when it becomes an official release, or is that upgrade module something different? Thanks

I've come accross a strange problem today whilst trying to update my HTLM formatted status email that I have sent to me on a regular basis. The issue (as far as I can tell) appears to be related to the number of characters in the email. My status mail sends me all sorts of information relating to my chalets current status. (see attached image(s) for an example of what it looks like). As it has lots of references to variables and device statuses there are a large number of characters in the file. I was thinking of installing Insteon light switching for rear house entrance and garage. My problem is I currently have Homelink in my car which controls these lights using RF controlled switches. I would like to retain the use of Homelink, and I thought possibly a EZX10RF could receive the Homelink RF commands and send out Insteon commands to my new Insteon switches.. Do I understand what the EZX10RF can do ?

1. Linked device to ISY 994i. 2. Created a scene with Motion sensor as Controller and a TottleLinc controlling a light as Responder. 3. Jumpers 1-4 are on single pins; jumper 5 is on both pins. 4. Left dial is turned as far as it will go counterclockwise. 5. Pressing Set Button once turns the light on. 6. Motion will turn the light on, but it does not turn off automatically . 7. Current Stats show the Motion Sensor and ToggleLinc are both on when motion is detected. Behavior is as if Jumper 5 was on both pins. What am I doing wrong in my objective to have the light turn off automatically after motion has ceased for 30 seconds?

I recently upgraded my ISY99i to ISY994i. I entered all the network addresses and such, same as the old ISY. I retained all the port forwarding configuration the same in my routers because I used the same IP address and Port number. For some reason the new ISY is not happy, but I'm at a loss as to why.

I am new to the ISY and I'm feeling my way by seeing how other people did things in the other forum sections. Based on one of those posts, I'm trying something which is fairly simple and should work, but doesn't. I wonder if someone can offer some assistance? First, I set up a scene consisting of the three Insteon devices in my master bedroom: Using the ON and OFF buttons on the ISY admin screen turns the scene and all of its devices on and off as you would expect, so the scene itself works. Can someone please point me to two or three (or more) of the best threads related to using Scenes with devices and programs. I went back a few years and did not find much. I've added both my switch and outlet to a scene called Room Lamp. I have set the switch to be the controller and the outlet to be the responder. However when I turn the switch on or off nothing happens with the outlet. Please help. Thanks.

I'm using an EZX10RF X10 to Insteon gateway. Sometimes, I add a node to the device tree for a specific house and device code that doesn't work right. Is there a way to get rid of these nodes without getting rid of all the nodes under the gateway device? This would be very useful. Right now, I just mark the wonky node 'unused'.

Hey guys I started getting some DNS error messages, and my email notifications also stopped working. I tried changing my DNS server to another one that I know for sure works, and I am still getting errors. I'm having an issue with an 8-button KeypadLinc controlling the main light in my master bedroom. I've set the On-Level to 40% on my ISY-994i. If I click the Main (Load) button once it works as expected and brings the light level up to 40%. But as soon as I change this setting directly on the KeypadLinc (either by double clicking for a fast on to 100% or dimming to a different value) it no longer respects the On-Level set on the ISY-994i on subsequent single presses. Instead it goes to whatever the last value was. My desire is to have 2 settings: one for single presses (40% level) and one for double presses (100% level). Is this not possible? Thanks in advanc…
