I want to control my 8 zone Smartenit model #5010A irrigation system using ISY994i and having (weather bug) not used anymore now its Ham Weather at ($25.00 per month) tell my irrigation system its time to water the yard . Can this be set-up like this? THANK YOU. . I'm new with this stuff, so this I'm sure its a stupid question, why would we wamt a weather service to hook up to and ISY if you can't use it to control something ? Whats the best way to controll a water system using weather reports?

I trying to write a program to control my lights, and after unsuccessful attempts I decided to seek help from forum members. This is what I’m trying to accomplish if the light is “on” in the office, and motion sensor (located in the office) is normal then wait three minutes and run another program to double check that motion sensor is still normal if its normal then wait three minutes and turn the light off, but if the motion sensor is “trouble” then leave the lights on. I have a program setup to turn a scene "on" if my fanlinc status is set to "off". The scene is designed to turn off a status led on a keypad so I know the fan is off when it is turned off. The program is working correctly. When I turn the fanlinc off, the program runs correctly and the "Fan Off" status light turns on. The issue is when the 3AM query hits, the scene is turned ON (even when the IF condition of this program is not met). I leave the fan on at night, and at 3AM the fan turns off. I use a remotelinc to put my house in vacation mode (and other modes). It sets a variable =1 when in vacation mode. I'm trying to write a program to turn some lights on & off while on vacation at certain times and send me an e-mail when they turn on and when they turn off each day. The problem is the "Else" part. It runs even if we aren't on vacation. ie. I wrote the program last night but we do not go on vacation for a few more days. ISY 994I, 4.2.18 Mobilinc Pro 4.1.10 iPhone 5 Whenever my internet connection goes down and restarts, I regain my wifi connection but cannot communicate to the ISY via Mobilinc Connect. In order to regain connection I have to manually unplug the router and ISY. I am looking for a way to use ISY 994i with Insteon Devices but unfortunately it seems that the PLM will not work at 220V/50hz. I am still new to using the ISY994i, but have had great luck starting with some scenes and programs. Recently I decided to try to configure my ISY settings so that I could access the ISY from outside my LAN and now my router is not recognizing it as connected to the network, however my scheduled scenes are still running. I can't access the Admin Console either, as it cannot find the ISY. I think my problem is that when I changed the internet settings on the ISY configuration, I used the Internet IP address etc. from my ISP instead of the LAN IP? Can the new insteon hub work along side of the hub I'm using for the ISY to use for simple tasks light turning on lights (using Siri). I do not want to loose any of the ISY programming. I guess the question is can devices be paired to both hubs and not interfere.

I have two 2476S switchlincs, one on either side of the bed. They are not connected to any load and are only used to turn on/off all the lights in the house through their switchlincs. After about a year or a little less, they loose their communication with the ISY, though not at exactly the same time. They are still able to turn/on off the house though their scene, but I can't program anything new with them through the ISY. I've only had two other switches in the whole house fail over the past six years. The third set of these two switches have now failed (that's six in total). Hi, I am trying to set a variable in my then and else clauses of my program. The program executes, but the variable value is never changed. IF (Garage Door Open) THEN $Open_Door = 1 Send Text Msg Else $Open_Door = 0 I know the then clause executes since I receive the text message. I tried both integer and state variables and neither work. Any thoughts?

Hi All; I've searched through the various forums and I see a lot more information about Z-Wave thermostats than Zigbee, but my ISY has the Zigbee board (so that I can also connect to my house meter) and so I'd like to take advantage of that and get a Zigbee thermostat. I see comments that the RCS TZB45 works well, but no one seems to sell it. Does anyone know if it's available? And are there other Zigbee thermostats out there that work well with the ISY? Thanks.

Just tried a backup and procedure won't proceed past about 51%. I get the following messages "Could not create the Zip File", and "Could not retrieve File /CONF/NET/1.RES". Destination is a flash drive, but the same hapens with any other destination. I have made many backups and never had this happen. Does any one have a clue what my problem might be? Thanks.

Here is an interesting situation that I came across. Let's say I have a program folder which is set to ONLY be active from 12AM on Sunday through 11:59PM on Sunday. Let's also say that, inside that folder, I have a program to turn on a light for 28 hours. Will the light go off after 28 hours (since the program folder will no longer be active?

Hi, I have 2 2450's installed and they are working fine. I installed a third one today and I can't seem to get the status light to turn off when the door open. I have COM and NO hooked up and GND and Sense hooked up. The door opens and closes on the Fast On/On commands but the status light doesn't change. The sensor and relay are both setup as Momentary C. I tried changing these to Momentary B but that didn't work. What could be wrong? Thanks, Grayson

Hi all, I think this has been discussed a couple times here, but I can't find a solution to my problem. I installed the ISY admin console on both my MacBook Pro and Mac-mini. On both of them, the ISY Finder doesn't find my ISY. I have to add it manually to connect to it. Once I'm in the admin console, I change the theme. From this point everything will be fine, the finder will remember my ISY and the theme will remain, UNTIL I reboot. After that, I have to tell the finder again where my ISY is and change the theme again. Anybody else has these annoying issues? Is this a bug with the admin console, or there is something I can do to fix this once and for all? Th…

I dont understandsome work that I am doing with my sprinkler system. I wrote 2 different programs for turning on two different zones, based on rainfall over 24 hours and time of day scheduling. those programs work fine. I also wrote 2 programs to turn on the zones if you press a button on my KPL. basically if: control for a button is on, then: set irrigation 3 on wait 20 minutes set irrigation 3 off I can't get either "button" programs to work...simple, but no life from the program. I've tried both with the KPL and a 8 button wireless remote...nothing. what am I missing? I've also tried both "control" and "status", made sure to save changes... …

You know when you have installed 50 Insteon devices and everything works well? Then you install two KPL's and link them together, but the lights don't work properly when you use one to control a light and the other responds briefly and then shuts off? Or when you use one KPL to turn on a light and then both KPL's go dim in terms of showing status via the internal LED's? That is what is happening to me. I can't figure it out and I am getting ready to rip these two KPL's out. I know they work as I have blanked them and installed them in a single switch situation where they control the lights properly, the keypad light lights up, etc. However, when I use them bot…

Today I received the Z-Wave dongle. I went ahead and updated the ISY-99Ri firmware and installed the dongle. I am now trying to purchase the Z-Wave module. However, when I go to (Help/Purchase Modules) nothing happens. If I go to (Help/Manage Modules) it states that my modules are up to date. I did notice that since the update, internet access on my ISY is no longer enabled. When I try to enable it I just get an error. By reading other forum entries it appears this should not be a problem and the modules issue is not related. Is that correct? Thank you!
