Using the scene test utility many of my scenes fail (example below) even though they seem to work fine. The only persistant system problem I have is that I seem to loose contact with devices when updating/programming them. Any thoughts? I am running version 3.2.6 with ISY 99i/IR Pro WITHOUT having messed around with firmware update. When I logged onto the console to modify my programs, they all have disappeared! In my iPhone MobiLinc Pro, I can see the programs and they are still running. Is there anyway to recover these programs? If not, how do I start fresh without affecting my current scenes and links. Unfortunately, I have not backup in a while and there have been changes made and dead switches replaced. Please help!

Hi, I have a Family Room with lights that were just operating on a timed schedule. While this worked well, the problem was that if the room was occupied at "lights out" time, we would find ourselves sitting in the dark reaching for a controller. I have added two devices to try and deduce occupancy: a SyncroLinc on the TV (which is usually on when the room is occupied) and a Motion Detector. The SyncroLinc works great. If the TV is on at "lights out" time, the lights stay on, then go out after the TV is turned off and the motion detector times out and sends its OFF command. The Motion Detector also works great *as long as it's seeing motion*. I have it set …

I have a program that notifies me of the amount of rain has accumulated that day. It goes like this... If Module 'Climate' Rain Today > 0 " And Time is 11:59:00PM Then Send Notification to 'My e-mail' content 'Rain Today' Send Notification to 'Other e-mail' content 'Rain Today' Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') This has worked great until yesterday. We got 0.01" of rain yesterday and the program did not send a notification. Any idea why it would not send the notification? Is 0.01" to small? It's greater than 0 so it should have worked. Any ideas? Thanks!

I want to purchase an ISY994. I presently own a 2413U which is a USB-connected PLM. I understand the isy994 requires a 2413S which is a serial-connected PLM. However, since the 2413U is nothing more than a 2413S with a serial to USB converter built in (all the protocols are the same from what i understand), wouldn't a $2 usb to rj45 or usb to serial converter allow my 2413U to operate with the isy994 and avoid another $80 expense for a 2413S? Am i missing something? thanks, John.

I've got two KeypadLincs installed. One in my master bedroom (2486DWH8), and one in my living (2487S converted to 8 button). The main (light) in the master bedroom's KeypadLinc has been cross-linked with a button in the living using two scenes (one for each direction). The synchronization works fine in all scenarios except when the master bedroom's main (light) is dimmed. If the light is dimmed, the KeypadLinc in the living does not reflect that the light is on in the master. Am I missing something with my set up? Should this be working? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I have had my ISY for a few years. When I got it I enabled Internet access (I have a uPnP route), it set up perfectly. A while ago, I noticed I could not control it remotely through Mobilinc. I am thinking this is most likely due to the fact that I added a network hard drive that is also using port 443. So I went into the ISY configuration and changed the https port to 1443 per the wiki page. Now when I try to enable internet access, it keeps failing. I have updated to the latest version of the ISY, and tried to reboot it, but to no avail. Have I done something to deisable the "Enable Internet Access" function?

Hi guys, Here is the program I have to light up the kitchen when the door to the garage is opened. My question is: if I added a line to the condition "if the light already on or > than a some value", could I prevent the program from running if light was already on? My purpose is to prevent the 15 minute wait clock from starting and then turning the light off if someone was previously using it (turned it on at the switch for task lighting). If From Sunset To Sunrise (next day) And Control 'Triggerlinc' is switched On Then Set Scene 'Island' On Wait 15 minutes Set Scene 'Island' Off Else - N…

I replaced a three way with two dimmers, and used the ISY99 instructions to get the programmed switch to be a 3 way. And for some reason it just does not work. The one switch works like a normal 3 way, but the other end (the programmed one) can only turn the lights off. I can not figure out what I did wrong.

From my experience, I've learned that telling people about home automation doesn't always get their full excitement or attention. Being a electrical contractor, I decided I would have better luck making a video explaining some of the features that are possible. None of this would be possible without the help of the Michel Kohanim and the Universal Devices team. I hope this video can be of help to people that are wondering what exactly their system is capable of. Thanks also to Wes the creator of Mobilinc for creating an outstanding interface.

Much thanks to Apostolakis for the examples below. I will follow up with my interpretation and my attempt to put what has been so graciously shared into a real world application on my own system. Alan Nearly all of these things can be done using a "wait" command. You might need multiple programs depending on the details. I have illustrated this below separating all the different situations into individual programs, but many times they can be merged into a single program. The root timer program would be this: I have named it program 'x' If - No Conditions - (To add one, press 'Schedule' or 'Condition') Then Wait 300 minutes S…

I just linked a new KeyPadLinc 6 button and the ISY adds it, switch works on the load, but the ISY shows it as an "Unsupported Device 2.44" and the ISY didn't add devices for the other 4 buttons. It's my first 6 - is there something unique to linking a 6? Tks

I cannot log into my ISY today. It doesn't respond to the software when I start it nor when I click login. I have power cycled the ISY several times. The network lights are flashing on the jack on the back and when I power it it seems to do a normal startup ending up with one blue light. I need to do some linking and programming and am getting frustrated! Help, please. To clarify, I cannot get Admin Console to give me a login screen. I've restarted it many times. The shell loads but no logon dialog box.

Is there a guide/documentation for configuring the zigbee module in a ISY994iZ? I've tried searching and couldn't find anything that explains how to configure things in the admin console.

I have an 8 button KeypadLinc controlling 3 SwitchLincs in the kitchen. I set up a scene (KitchenScene) that contains 6 of the KPL buttons as controllers and the 3 switches as responders. In KitchenScene, I have different lighting levels set for each KPL button. This works as intended. I would like to replicate the effect of physically pushing one of the KPL buttons by using MobiLinc Pro (or from the ISY admin console), but have not found a way to do this. From MobilLinc, if I go into the KPL in "Devices" and activate one of the buttons, all of the lights come on (I believe it is executing the KitchenScene levels ). Do I need a different scene set up? Use …

Have had it rattling around in my head for a couple of weeks about how best to handle occupancy sensing. If I use a state variable, it can trigger programs. But are you better to make a massive if or tree listing a bunch of common devices around the house? e.g. kitchen light, bathroom light, motion sensor here or there, stair lights, a bedroom light, etc. and run down the whole tree. Or on other programs that do something, make them set the occupancy variable? Anyone doing anything interesting besides just turning out the lights in 30 minutes of no activity around the house? Alan

I have recently installed several SwitchLinc Dimmer 2-Wire v.41 (2474DWH). Some of them are already successfully in scenes. I am having trouble with one though… the office switch. In the admin console (v.3.2.6) I’ve linked the office switch to the ISY 99i. I have full control of it through the console. HOWEVER, when I add it to a scene, and turn the scene on and off, the office switch does not respond, although the admin console indicates that the switch is changing states. The switch still responds when I select it in the Network tree on the left and use the On/Off buttons, but not when I select the scene and use the scene’s On/Off buttons. I’ve got 56 …
