    ISY Locked up?

Tried the upgrade using the instructions here: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5581 when I click on http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.9/admin.jnlp nothing happens. Using firefox I get an "openwith" and select the Java web start launcher which is default. Is this link only going to work with the ISY on the same subnet? My PC is on 192.168.0.x and the ISY is on 192.168.1.x.

    ISY Locked up?

So I upgraded to 2.8.8 over the weekend from 2.7.15 on my ISY99IR Pro. Everything has been fine until today. I noticed that I did not get my 6:00 PM email from the ISY as I do every day. This did not bother me much and I didn't think much of it. Tonight we went out to go to out friends house for about an hour. When we leave at night, we use a button on a KPL to trigger a scene and when the button triggers the scene we use a program to watch for the same kpl button to be "not off", it waits 2 minutes and them turns off the same scene. This has been working reliably until tonight also. When we got home I noticed the outside lights were still on. I tried to access the ISY when I got in and it would not allow local access from within my LAN. I looked at the unit and the power LED was on and no others were on or flashing. I cycled power to the ISY and now I can access it. I also got the power up email that I have it set to send when there is a power cycle. The ISY's power source comes from the wall wart that came with the ISY26 and it is plugged into an APC UPS. I don't know of any power issues as of yet. What do you think? A Fluke, underlying problem, etc...?
  4. I agree also. I can't remember the last time I actually wanted to praise a company for doing a good job. UDI is the first in a long time.
  5. You do have to select that option in 2.7.15. They are not combined by default.

    Deadbolt

Could the ISY send commands to a networked Z Wave device to control the Deadbolts? Maybe using the networking module? I am seriously interested if so...

    All off

Set the button to Toggle Off only.
  8. I did not test it as my XEP is on the fritz, hence the few disclaimers in my previous posts. I simply tested the manual changing of the addresses and the fact that they successfully import into elk. I figured that if it didn't work you could clear all devices and re-import the unmodified file and you'd be back to square one.
  9. OK. I did a test. I imported the Elk file into RP. I then went back to the XML file and edited it with wordpad and changed D08 device to E08. I imported the Elk file again and the device jumped from D08 to E08. It should work the same for you, you'll just have to edit the file for all devices that you want to shift down. There still may be issues but let us know what you find.
  10. I haven't done much with the elk import feature yet but i have looked at the XML file in a text editor. You may be able to take each device in the "A" house code and simply edit the XML file and change them to another letter. Disclaimer: I have not tried this.
  11. Michel, Sorry for reviving such an old post but I thought its best to keep this information easily accessable and in the same topic. I have an ISY26 which wasn't being used in which my ISY99 upgrade should be arriving today. I am also expecting a new PLM from Smarthome in a day or two. My issue is slightly different in that I am using Powerhome also, with a USB PLM and all scenes are functioning and working perfectly. I want to move from PH to the ISY99 and want to make absolutely sure that I don't screw tings up. Would my situation dictate that I can simply use the new ISY and the new PLM to find one device (KPL) and spider the rest of the devices? Should I leave the old USB PLM plugged in with PH off for this process? I planned to link the ISY99 to a KPL and have it spider for all other links by using the "add devices found in links and keep existing links" option. Does this sound right? I was concerned about the existing links to the old PLM and how to get rid of them as I plan on moving away from PH.
  12. I do the exact same thing
  13. Thank you.
  14. Can someone point me to any available Elk - ISY integration information or documentation. I have done some basic searches and come up with very little. I am considering purchasing the ISY or the codename 99.9 product and would like to do some reading up.
